What about Watford? Their only real chances came from our mistakes, and this was THEIR new manager bounce. I thought they were dreadful.
As for us, 2 games, 4 points and two clean sheets. It's a solid start to build on, and build on it we must.
Lambert gets a solid 7 for last night. He loses points for the 'bigger hammer' Plan B approach, when it was plain to see that Plan A was playing straight into their hands.

Needed to move Shaqiri inside or take him off as he was anonymous.
The subs were awful.
I'm hoping he's going to change things around a bit for the next game.
A clean sheet is a positive

A clean sheet is a positive As soon as you move Shaq inside we are exposed defensively.. Unless you play him as a No10... Then you've got to play Cameron... So no room for new signing or Joe. The only way is similar to what Sparky did with Bojan.. a la "false nine" Somehow don't think that's Super Pauly's style.

6, I really don't like 4-4-2 and he should have brought Cameron on for Fletcher, but other than that, a solid looking back four and well organised, its progress of sorts and I'll take anything atm.

5.5
Didn't put on Cameron for Fletcher who is tired as fuck, didn't bolster the midfield with 2 possible subs with loads of time left, then throws on another striker in Saido. Hoofball doesn't work against Watford it's their bread and butter away. Crouch and Saido were honestly terrible subs for the opponent.

5 and that is generous as its still early days.
No problem with an unchanged side, but his reluctance to change things sooner when our gameplan clearly was not working was very Hughes-esque.
Poor subs too. Diouf was shit so I do not know how he stayed on for so long, and then kept Fletcher on when making a swap in the middle too?
Was the worst game of football I have seen in a very long time although I do not solely blame Lambert for that...

4 For the clean sheet. The rest was equally as bad as anything I've seen since we have been in the Prem.

I’m giving him a 9 based on what he’s got to work with and their attitude which he’s had little time to work on. He’s dropped a point for not changing tactics at half time, I was hoping we’d run at the cheating gobshites and force the fouls. As it is, another clean sheet, a point which we wouldn’t have got a fortnight ago and the timescale issue - credit where it’s due imo.

What Lambert was saying is that he will decide which players will come and go at the club and he will coach them. He won't be dealing with agents, contracts, work permits, scouting etc. Of course you know that don't you but you'll keep stabbing away at Cartwright. He didn’t say that at all he said is dealing with transfers no further expansion , no mention of the ex Leek keeper . There is is no stabbing simply a full frontal assault on the most senior executives responsible for our inevitable relegation , squandering of precious funds , and huge damage to our treasured club . You really do talk shit don't you. inevitable relegation? FUCK RIGHT OFF

FUCK RIGHT OFF Oh dear joe , even you from that far away can see it’s coming now Whatever, but you were saying the same thing when we were playing Man City off the park. And if we'd beaten Bourno you wouldn't be on here saying this because you would say you'd missed it because you were on a plane. You have been droning on with this crap for years. Now we are in serious danger you are claiming some credit.

They did neither and now we are suffering the consequences. What makes me laugh is how some folk are spouting on about the Swansea manager. Oh yes.. he was everybody's choice for the Stoke job wasn't he haha. Whichever way you look at it Lambert picked up a poisoned chalice and we are I'm afraid going to die a death by a thousand cuts in the next few weeks.

Your spot on with your analysis , three windows ago scholes and Cartwright should have bben removed . Last summer Hughes had to be backed or sacked , Lambert sadly is the patsy who will take the blame by Swansea

As most things in big business with big egos.... it's probably a clusterfuck of people delegating blame and not delegating responsibility. It will be interesting to see the ramifications in the offices of power if we do get relegated.

Well John coates can’t get sacked so either scholes and Cartwright do or more likely Lambert is posted as the fall guy and the people who created the mess, get to carry on making a bigger one overseeing a massive firesale with their own special brand of arrogance , ineptitude and total lack of football credibility and appointing another patsy to take the blame . The next manager recruitment in th3 summer will be a truly horrendous list of cheap and cheerful with this lot still in role , I seriously think survival is the height of ambition in the. Hampionship next year .
