Just watching this modern classic on ITV4 with the kids. It's like an album with no $#!t tracks on. "Anyone? Anyone? Voodoo Economics"

Not heard of that TBF, I'm just on Season 5 of Sons of Anarchy, I've done the previous four in a month.
Gripping series, although probably not for the kids

Just watching this modern classic on ITV4 with the kids. It's like an album with no $#!t tracks on. "Anyone? Anyone? Voodoo Economics" Always got it mixed up with Brewster's Millions and Pretty in Pink, saw it once when it first came out, not give it a second thought since. Until doing some channel flicking round the folks at xmas I came across it by chance, a gallery scene, a few other bits that didn't particularly grip me. I was flicking for the 4inabed omnibus. Then RogerJones posed a poser on it on here. I wished I'd paid better attention. What is it? some kind of morality tale?

Enjoy life when you can because you're never sure when you won't be able to and bucking the system isn't always a bad idea if you have good intentions.

Doesn't the gallery scene have the classic Smiths lament Please please let me get what I want as the backing music? Its a good film, Ferris' girlfriend is fit, but the parade bit is just a stretch too far for me. On of the classic coming of age type movies from the mid eighties, the Breakfast Club being another to add to your list

I love the energy of the parade, but it maybe cause it's the Beatles. It's a V Anglophile film

Too tough for me! Very well filmed scene though. Imagine trying to direct that!

Cameron : The 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California, less than a hundred were made and my father spent three years restoring this car. It is his love, It is his passion.....
Ferris : It's his fault he didn't lock the garage.

Ferris Bueller didn't actually exist, only in Cameron's mind.
Similar to Tyler Durden in Fight Club.

Woah, is that like the alternative ending to Friends where Phoebe is really a bag lady who watches the five flatmates in the coffee shop and makes up all the episodes? That would have been a much better ending.
