I still think at 75K a week this would be too much for us, as our top earner being Berahino on 70K a week I hope i'm wrong though, think he would improve our squad massively, especially with the experience he brings Is that actually a certified fact or just hearsay and tittle-tattle?
If the former, then it is a very sorry indictment of the Hughes / Carto / Scholes triumvirate.
Two of which of course are still here.
Wrong thread perhaps, but someone at the very top needs to satify themselves that it was all Leslie's 'fault'. Not sure on the accuracy of this website www.spotrac.com/epl/stoke-city-f.c/payroll/

No, its not fact, nobody on here really knows what any of our players earn i would think. I have seen links on here over the years to websites giving players' salaries. It wouldn't surprise me if Berahino is the highest paid player - due to salary compression, new employees in many profession are brought in on salaries that are higher than long timers. It usually results in the "underpaid" players knocking on the boss's door. I believe some players have it written into their contracts that the club will automatically adjust their salary so that are always the highest paid player in the team. We should find a way terminate Berahino and use the money to greater effect.

I liked him at Chelsea and thought he always did a decent enough job and was treated a bit harshly there.
Can't see it but it'd be a good acquistion.

So he can OBVIOUSLY become our top earner! He's already earning more than our highest earner though.

It could well be bollocks but the sums in football are nothing short of bastard mad these days.

You do know he's on 150,000 a week right? But BD are offering to pay half his wages. Hence the discussion.

Superb player. Remember him tearing us apart a few years back. Couldn't believe it when Chelsea let him go.

Sobhi, Shaq, Choupo, Jese, Harrison AND Schurrle all fighting for two positions? Well you take out Shaq (moved to middle) and Jesé (moved on) that leaves 4 fighting for 2 spots which is about right

You must be blocked. Still there Basically says Dortmund are trying to push us into having Schurrle. But he isn't sure we want him. If Dortmund are letting us have him, send Jese back and get this guy in. Needs no introduction to the Prem. Can hit the ground running and can fucking score! Imagine, Choupo Shaq and Schurle ! Thanks. His account is private so the tweet wouldn't load. Its blank for me too mate. Don't know why

But Jesé is back now, unless we persuade PSG to allow us to terminate the loan. Not sure they would now he’s back training here. I just don’t see a gap for a right-footed left-winger, much as I would welcome Schurrle.

I just don’t see a gap for a right-footed left-winger, much as I would welcome Schurrle. I've never taken this rumour seriously for that reason, as potentially exciting as he'd be. Can't see us spending the money there when we've got Jese (even if he potentially goes to Las Palmas?), Choupo and Sobhi as proper options there - and are seemingly bringing in Harrison who can play there too. I'd be surprised if all the eggs left weren't going into the striker and midfielder basket.

Schürrle can play striker too. And to be honest i think it's his best position.
