What a week !
After the disappointment of QSF not coming to Stoke and then Monday's announcement that Paul Lambert had been appointed I was left feeling very low and let down by the club as were many others I'm sure.
However after seeing and hearing our new manager throughout the week I have been totally won over by his honesty, openness, work ethic, and sheer enthusiasm for Stoke City, and will do what is required to keep us up.
Yesterday was a return to the old days with a team fully committed, well structured and knowing what was required. The defence looked much better, the midfield had some bite, and we played with pace and created numerous chances. Even better, the crowd were superb and fully united with the team to try to drag Stoke out of the relegation battle we've fallen in to. Seeing Lambert's reaction when we scored was proof enough that he is fully intent to grab this opportunity and make a success of it for himself and the club.
Yes we're still missing quality in some areas and desperately need a good defensive midfielder and striker (and maybe a winger - Jack Harrison incoming ?) but the signs are there that Lambert and the team are going to give this a real go.
I know it's only one game against a very poor Huddersfield, but it was the total opposite of what we've endured during the past 18 months. Just hope the Board back the manager now !

Greetings from Missouri. Great win - I am puzzled why it only took Lambert about a week to figure out what Stoke fans have been saying for about 18 months: we are too good to go down but the previous manager seemed incapable, or too stubborn, to change things and play to the players strengths instead of insisting on 3 at the back and 2 wing backs that we don’t have!

Yes it was nice to see the players all applaud the fans, but it must have been good to see for the players to applaud a near full ground, well done for those who stayed

Greetings all. Wow what a better week. Just what we needed. More of the same please Lambo. Are we likely to be making any more additions to the squad in January?

The whole day yesterday was brilliant from start to finish The crowd The players The manager and even talking to you Ange and Bunny beforehand outside😄👍 It was great to see such passion on the sidelines once again and I include Rooster in that also. As for the fitness,if that Uncle Festa lookalike was telling me to run and jump I’d say how high👍 One swallow doesn’t make a summer but football has once again become something I will look forward to If yesterday is anything to go by

We haven't played 3 at the back for ages.

Bojan's had more lives than a stray cat. 2 failed loans during his time here and several whilst trying to 'make it' shows that he's a busted flush. It's just a shame we got to see what he's capable of pre-Rochdale.

Excellent sound this week. Can even hear the smacking of the lips and chomping on the biscuits. Interesting that Lambo said they worked on the move for the first goal in training! Movement off the ball yesterday was night and day from previously.

Is it right that the players are in for double sessions this week in training?

Peter Crouch has a new house near to Cobham now And as we learnt yesterday if he has any knock in a game, goes home to Cobham, he then reports into Chelsea's training ground to be looked at. He is 7 minutes from there!

As a supporter of Berahino with some twisted sense of hope, I can't be bothered with him anymore. He's trouble and isn't worth the time effort of wasting time in him.

Ange / Russ:
to clarify...
SB (he's not actually worthy of writing his full name) - the picture in the paper was wrong. The Sun have admitted it & published an apology. The Twitterati say it was his ex team mate from WBA youth footie.

Not sure I explained that very well (more diplomarptic than saying you got the wrong end of the stick )
The Sun say the PICTURE was wrong - but I think are sticking by the story/ the facts ...
Edit:
i can spell "diplomatic", honest
