2 useless wasters that have contributed to our predicament this season. Lambert got 18 guys together today who were interested in getting something from the game not drink, drugs, sex and Heung Min Son.

Berahino a liability off the pitch, Wimmer a liability on it.
Clearly Lambert sees no future for Wimmer. Not even in the match squad. Berahino probably not picked because of the Sun front page.

Think it was a straight choice between Wimmer and BMI for a left foot central defender on the bench.. I like this sort of no fudge clarity and selection. Keep it up Lambo. You be made a great start fella. Don't let us down.

If picking from those available on merit, neither should be on the bench.

With these two plus Jesé gone, it starts to open up some squad space.

There was a better option than them in their position in both cases.

With any luck Wimmer’s Stoke career will be over in the next 11 days.

With these two plus Jesé gone, it starts to open up some squad space. Mr Rodriguez appears to be back. Who knows for how long? Fairly obvious selections all round though. Not sure how he could've justified putting Berahino or Wimmer in the 18 in the circumstances with the need for decent cover in all positions

To be honest these two are part of the problem, not part of the solution.
We should terminate their contracts - pay them off if we have to - just to get them out of the place in case they drag us down.
Certainly neither should play in a Stoke shirt again and I very much doubt either ever will.

Perhaps Lambert can get something out of them with some time, perhaps not. They weren't involved today because Lambert obviously didn't see anything to warrant their inclusion and we're hardly sat there wondering "maybe it could've been better if they had played" which is a good thing.
Lambert has a win under his belt, people are reacting positively to him, might lead to a change in attitudes if they had been a bit non-committal beforehand... then again it probably won't.

Jese should be still in the frame. Played well on the wing but was dropped after that.

Perhaps be a better idea to let the new management work with them rather than just slagging them off. There’s plenty that haven’t covered themselves in glory this season so it would benefit everyone to just get a fresh start and see what they can produce. Who knows it might turn out that we have a squad considerably better than ,I for one , thought we had.

Who knows it might turn out that we have a squad considerably better than ,I for one , thought we had. Spot on, some people on here seem determined for our players to fail, there is much room for improvement - for every member of the squad, nobody has been playing to their potential this season, not one member of the squad, they have all had their ups and downs. New manager and a fresh start for all, should be a fun end to the season.

Certainly neither should play in a Stoke shirt again and I very much doubt either ever will. Do you have any idea how much it would cost us to pay them off? With both players among our highest earners and still early into lengthy contracts, it could cost us more than £10M for the loss of income, bonuses etc for the players. Money that would be far better spent on bringing in new effective players that might even cost less. True we would have two players on our books going nowhere doing no good, but if we stick them in the u23s they might just slap in transfer requests. Selling them will be another loss. I doubt very much if those two will be bought by any club for than 500k a piece.

It could well be a simple case of deciding if the club can afford to get rid at a loss. If the club can’t get rid, then we have a serious job to get both playing well and being part of the team. A top 6 prem club can write em off. Just unfortunate the situation is compounded by them costing 30mill.

He's obviously got something in his locker (other than Wrights pies) Could turn out to be a gem. At the moment he remind me of Alex Elder. Most of you guys probably will not remember him. Berahino?... busted flush I'm afraid.

Base on that tweet of his in training,I think hes just seems to be fulfilling contractual obligations...

I heard that Wimmer asked for the day off so that he could travel down to the south coast. His beloved Spurs are playing Southampton tomorrow and he didn’t want to miss it.
