Getting excited for Saturdays game already. Haven't felt like this for a while. Got a good feeling about Paul lambert even though I admit I was shocked when he was appointed . Think it's what we need and I love it when bookies and the media write us off. Up the Potters and up yours Paddy Power

I'm buzzing for Saturday! I think the atmosphere will be immense. This is a fresh start. Our season starts Saturday with a run of some very winnable games.

You want to watch out, I think you might have a case of Stafylidis (which can be treated!)

The crowd will be up for it.
Just hope one of ours puts a challenge in first 5 minutes and nails one of them. Will set the atmosphere for the rest of the game then

Well, cast your eyes up at the upper tier Saturday ,the boys will be in town ( depending on Alf and Moira on the row infront, they stopped us chanting " Hughes out" the last game- it's not fitting apparently)

As I've posted before, on Monday we're nearly all ready to get the rope and have done with it all (including me.)....Fast forward 72 hours or so we've got our mojo back(or seem to have.) TBH, can't remember when there was a buzz around these threads for a very long time or last time we seemed so happy about a new manager. Onwards and upwards. I'm sure we'll be doing the Lambert walk...(Don't know what it is but I'm sure it'll be good .)

Well, cast your eyes up at the upper tier Saturday ,the boys will be in town ( depending on Alf and Moira on the row infront, they stopped us chanting " Hughes out" the last game- it's not fitting apparently) I sit in the upper tier Wagster, at the West Ham game a Septuagenarian three rows in front of me stood up and shouted "blummin hell Hughes, you're a nincompoop!" before hurling his cap to the ground aggressively. It took 2 of his friends from the cribbage club to calm him down. I've never heard such coarse language, I didn't know where to look in case I caught his eye and he turned on me. I'll keep my ears open for you on Saturday, but don't expect me to join in if it gets too raucous.

I don't have a widge tingle because I'm a rampant pessimist whenever it comes to Stoke. Been every season for the past 33 years and love a coupon every weekend but not once have I had Stoke to win.
I'm more intrigued as to the formation, starting 11 and style of play both with and without the ball.
He said in his press conference that he'll send out the team to be on the front foot from the first whistle. My concern is that his ethos will take time to transfer to the players.
I expect a tight and cagey game.

I called Graham Kavanagh a “ sodding cretin” but i was in my early 20’s at the time. I got told to sit with them lot ( pointing to other stands) by Alf who still unfortunately sits infront

Think Paul will be pleased he's got such fine upstanding fans as you in the top tier. I would like to think so. We are a hardy bunch. There were a few up there who threw their cushions down in anger at the Newcastle match but we are normally a calm and calculated lot

We've had our fair share of disappointments and it feels different this time. A bit like when Rupert Murdoch felt when he had it off with Jerry Hall
