People keep saying we need a beast of a player in midfield, well if Shawcross and BMI are both fit, move Zouma in front of the defence. Job's a guddun!

Turning circle of an ocean liner and it takes him about 10 minutes to line up a pass.
The exact antithesis of what you need in the middle of the park.

May as well send him back to Chelsea then, cuz he hasn't been much cop the back lately either!!!

Always been worth a go imo... but then again, it is January, we could always try something radical like signing an appropriate player for the job

If he will pass like the last game so his chance to succeed in midfield is 0%, he was better than that at the start of the season, I dont know what is happening to him.

He looks too uncomfortable on the ball to be a footballer never mind a midfielder.

Whether he could play that role or not short term, it's something that maybe could have been tried in say a cup game.

No thanks, keep him at the back. Square pegs never fit round holes.
With the amount of injuries we have had so far we need all of BMI, Shawcross, Wimmer and Zouma as CBs for the rest of this season. In the summer let’s reassess when we know which league we are in.

He's played there for Chelsea and done it very well. We are completely lacking in physicality everywhere but particularly in the middle of the park. The way Pogba as good as he is bullied our midfield was embarrassing. Zouma is not the answer long term but we need a change imminently and we could do worse.

We've got 15 games left to save our arse. It's not "worth a go".

Some of the comments here are ridiculous Like what? He has been toss for the last 2mths. His legs/speed may be what we need alongside allen, fletcher is a passenger at moment. Zouma needs moving out of back four as he's not that good is he?

Huddersfield are well organised and fit. We undoubtedly have more quality but we have to earn the right to make it count. At the moment we are weak in the centre of the park. Huddersfield will take advantage of that if we don't match their work rate and physicality.
If we don't bring someone in I'd go with Zouma alongside Allen system dependant of course.

Hasn't got the technical ability to play in midfield, he gives the ball away too often at CB when he's got time on the ball never mind as a midfielder where he'd get closed down quicker.

I agree that the best option is to bring in someone who can play there, but if we can't get anybody then I think it's worth a go.

I wouldnt allow him to play any further than 10 yards away from our own penalty box.

hopefully he will do better under Lambert the sad thing is that if Ryan is fit him and Bruno are our best central defensive partnership if we can return to a proper defensive shape, I dont see any harm in Zouma sitting in front of them with some training , as had been said on the thread he had a few games for chelsea there and did ok and at least he can get up and down the ptich .
Having said all that the key to staying up for me has to be a strong new signing in midfield if we can find one

Kurt Zouma is an excellent footballer but at the moment he’s going through a poor run of form not helped by the constant changing of systems under the previous regime and too many defensive partners due mainly to injuries and poor selection (Wimmer!) In my opinion, if he plays at all, it has to be at centre half in a two alongside Ryan if he’s fit or BMI if he isn’t.
He certainly can play in midfield, but now is not the time for experimentation.

Why not? The midfield hasn't been working this season, we have got to change it, so we have nothing to lose by playing Zouma there, he can't be worse than what we've tried before.
