Took 1 minute 9 seconds to review.

In that scenario the video ref would advise it was an offside as the play continues, ref blows up 5 or 6 seconds lost no issue. The point is that the video ref does not have to wait to be asked he can intervene independently. It isn't that quick though surely? And doesn't watching it whilst play is still on going mean he can miss something else? I think it is that quick and the while he had a review the cameras keep rolling so he could review another incident afterwards.

I am against var
And I am against offside . They don't have offside in hockey and nobody misses it , people still mark you and you still have to turn your man and get past to score . The only difference is the players use all of the pitch ,instead of half of it ,or two thirds of it or whatever , because of some technical ruling . Hooray to that :-)

It's wank. I've always hated people moaning about poxy offside calls that are "wrong" by a matter of millimetres, as if it makes any difference. It's really not worth the hassle. Exactly. It's just players, managers a d fans using technicalities to hide their failures. If a player scored because his arse was one inch offside and otherwise wouldn't he wouldn't have scored I'd agree with them but that is almost never the case.
