I know it was just one game but Does anybody think he deserves a song on Saturday he seems a top bloke and to stay and carry on when he seems to be loyal to mark Hughes and mark Bowen it must of been a difficult decision torn between the two hope he stays

Mate some of our fans can't get Charlie Adam's name right. Good luck getting any kind of pronunciation into a song for Eddie!

Unless he had his contract terminated like Hughes or Bowen he is a contracted employee of scfc so he has only been fulfilling his employment contract, if he had quit he would of lost any bonuses coming his way which would have been part of his reason to stay. Yes he seems a nice man but clearly hasn't been able to influence or improve the teams training methods and fitness, he might have spoke out and been ignored or he may have just followed instructions how Hughes wanted the team set up. But he has been involved with the players on the training field on a daily basis so in my opinion is very much part of the problems of last 2 years. Sorry but it's time for a break with the Hughes era and new backroom team brought in.

Or he could be the eternal assistant, sort of like Kidd at Citeh, or Curtis at swansea, that ensures some semblance of continuity is maintained. I hear what you're saying about breaking with the Hughes area, but Lambert can use somebody to give him the lowdown on everyone including some of the youths or some of those that don't play often. Lambert will no doubt be giving everyone a fair chance, but he doesn't need to see Haugard play ten games in the first team, Eddie can tell him that.

He joked in his post-match presser at United that the crowd didn't sing him a song so yeh I think Eddie deserves a little tune!

The right decision. Nice guy but people wanted change and he's an integral part of the coaching team from the previous regime. New regime, new staff.......

Inevitable with the words at the end of the match regarding Bauer. Obviously more loyal to the Taffia than he is Stoke.

I think he means "threads" not "threats" but he can't smell for tofy and doesn't have a smell checker installed which always leaves you in the shit. Anyway he had to go but thanks for staying to do the handover and stop us looking pathetic at United, that was class. On we go

Absolutely best decision. Hope it was Lambo who had final say. No lingering smells and all that
Have to say if player fitness was part of Eddie's remit then he should have gone months ago.
