Why all this negatively for Wimmer? I hope he gets the chance to prove a few idiots wrong here. He's a young lad who came to stoke at a terrible time,he needs a leader and probably an arm round him. Forget me if I'm wrong but wasn't TP desperate for this lad too? And if nothing else he has an eye for a defender. Talk about about Stoke losing its identity, the biggest problem for me is some of the idiot support who constantly need a boo boy or someone be made a scapegoat, is this the same club I've grown up loving and supporting? Some total fuckin morons on here lately, I dread taking my kids 5 and 7 to matches now, doom and gloom merchants everywhere, I grew up where players who were playing poor or average where given even more support, Jesus wept we made kyle lightbourne and and Justin whittle like cult hero's but I suppose that was before the hangers on joined He’s toss

First rule i would introduce if i was in charge:
If you post niceties on social media about ex-team mates who have just trashed you in a match in which you played shit, you get fined 3 months wages AND you get to clean the toilets at Clayton Wood for a whole month
The disgust I felt for Kevin Wimmer is more than I can express and i did give him a very good piece of my mind on his official instagram page

The mystery is why Tottenham wasted £4.3m on the guy ? Perhaps because they could anticipate that one day they would shaft us for good by selling him to us for a price which is at least 10 times more than he is worth! Wimmer is a useless, spineless waste of space No talent and above all no sense of loyalty

The Wimmer situation is the most overblown catty witch-hunt I've seen on here for a long while. Judge the poor bloke after a spell in a settled confident side, not the shit show we've been watching for the last 4 months he's been here.

Worst defender we’ve had since Steven Tweed.

The most scary part for me here is that Hughes and the transfer team couldn't see all his weaknesses! It was so obvious for almost everybody who knows just a little bit of defending! Good in the air? NO Pacy? NO Good positional sense? No Good distribution? NO £18M? Yes!!!!!!!!!

Not Wimmers fault we paid £18m for him. But his performances are his fault.
He will be playing at his level if we go down though.

Might make a good manager seeing as it's a struggle to get one. If any player plays crap regularly- it needs saying. Why defend someone who's paid loads and is not performing?

I think Wimmer looks over-priced, even in the current inflated market, but no player fixes their own transfer fee. I think he has struggled in some games, certainly, but he's not alone in that in our defence this season. But I also think he has done quite well in some other games, and we may not have seen the best of him. At Spurs he had very strong competition from the likes of Vertonghen, Alderweiried ( however you spell it ! ), Dier and others. I haven't checked the stats for myself, but Spurs fans tell me that in the games he did play the goals conceeded record was good. Perhaps most significantly, in 2016 they gave him a 5-year deal, and I don't think they would have done that if he is even remotely as poor a player as some of the posts above assert. I hope he doesn't read this board because if he does it won't do anything for his confidence. It will be very interesting to see what the new manager makes of him.

He'll come good, Hughes is hardly renowned for his defensive coaching is he?
I know he's not had the best of starts to say the least but let's see if the new manager can get something out of him.

He won't come good , he is very poor
Definitely not good enough for league 2 football and would be destroyed by a decent league 2 side
Annoyingly doesn't even try
Will be missed by no one when he's gone
Which will hopefully be soon
A total embarrassment

How did we look at him though and think 18 million? There was nothing to indicate he was worth that kind of money based on what Spurs paid for him.
Obviously, not the players fault.

Looks overpriced understatement of the year so far, he's unfit(not the only recent big money transfer), he has a questionable attitude and looks to me to be a very poor signing, the transfer fee is not down to him the other missing attributes most certainly are.

Cant see keane being able put up with wimmer for ten minutes he'll kill him I honestly think he might be gone before the end of the month if keane comes in That is just so fucking improbable. Wimmer knows he will never in the future earn as much money as he is contracted to do here, and there is nothing Keane or any manager can do about it while his contract runs. Even the option of terminating the contract - it does happen sometimes as Keane would be the first to know - is so unlikely because we would have to pay up the remainder of what he would have earned here, which as a byproduct would cost us so much and prevent us from signing several decent players for the money that instead goes into Wimmer's pockets.
