Wouldn't that be discrimination? Calling people an immigrant when you know nothing about them? Rofl, you really need a better grasp of the language. My comment was that I wish immigrants had a better grasp of the language. You seem to confuse “spunk” to mean “ talent”. From which I can only deduce that one or more of the following must be true; English is not your native tongue; you are not well educated; you are not very bright. While I have my suspicions, I’ll leave you to come to your own conclusions. Do you think it's suitable on an open forum to call someone you deem an immigrant to be not well educated and not very bright?

Did you even watch the video in the O.P? Yes thanks, I watched the video. Nothing on show there or, more importantly on the pitch at Stoke, which strike me as being £18M worth. What I saw at Stoke was a complete lack of effort & commitment, easily dispossessed, one footed player. As I said before, I must have missed the match where his "obvious talent" was on display" ....... A signing even worse than Palacios. If you’ve genuinely watched that video and don’t think he’s worth AT LEAST £18m if he could consistently play like that then I really do give up.

Are people actually basing an argument of value on a YouTube video?
HA!

Aren't Galatasaray supposed to be interested in Imbula maybe we could do some type of deal with Nydiaye coming the other way?

What?
You seriously mean this isn't what Carto does? It wouldn't surprise me! Me neither. We really need to get to the bottom of transfers, whether Quique comes or not.
Back to Imbula: what a crying shame we are where we are though.
Would absolutely love it if QSF could breeze in and breathe new life into Giannelli.
I rate the guy (QSF) but not sure his powers stretch to "biblical".

It's showing the good bits though isn't it. Firstly trying to carry the ball out of defence, as he does, is a no no in this league. He holds on to the ball too long and defenders won't stand off him and give him space like in those clips. He has undoubted talent but he needs intensive coaching. Running at people is what we need in the final third, not in our own half.

someone (new management team, agent, shrink) need to sit down with him and watch this video together and show him the player was/still can be. Its like his mental attitude needs reprogramming, thats all thats holding him back in my opinion. Such a shame but if he doesnt give a fuck then he'll fail everywhere he goes from now on, talent alone aint enough in this day in age

The guy might be lazy but to call him a cunt is too far. Could be issues we don't know about. In fact, I think that is plainly obvious.

Say what you want about his work ethic and everything but it still makes me laugh that people slag him off for being "one footed".. people, take a look around world football, genuinely 2 footed footballers are a rarity. I know what you mean, I used to ride my Raleigh Chopper one handed in the 80s, it was the done thing at the time but nowadays with all this health and safety it's a rare thing. I had a bright yellow Raleigh chopper with a high back seat extension , what a bike they were the Ferrari of there day

Imbula has all the physical attributes to be a bloody good player. Possibly as good as N'Zonzi and therefore possibly one of the best I've seen in a Stoke shirt.
Sadly he just does not seem to want to play football.
His talent has allowed him to steal a living, and now that he is financially set for life he just doesn't seem to give a toss.
In any other job we would have grounds to sack him.

I sat next to Shay Given at the end of season awards night last season. Imbula was there and I asked Given why he hadn't been playing and what was the problem. I said you probably won't tell me the truth though. His reply, ' I'm leaving, why wouldn't I? The lad is an absolute disgrace around the place. The way he speaks to people , the way he is with the rest of the players. I wouldn't have him anywhere near the club' Personally I think he looks a decent player but if he's not a team player what's the point?

Few of us lead perfect, hassle free lives; most of us don't have the luxury of putting zero effort into our jobs without suffering serious consequnces. Imbula was given a break most of us spent most of our childhoods dreaming of: the chance to get paid to play football for SCFC. He chose to take the money and to put no effort in at all.

Hope we sell him Same here, Hughes put him at number ten too, he was lackadaisical to say the least. Then of course in the friendlies in the summer he looked really good. Hopefully Stoke will do better research in future before signing players. We signed Imbula in Feb 16. Browsing online french newspapers last autumn to check how he was doing it took me 5 minutes to find a story that in March 2015, he was dragged off a plane by police at Paris CDG airport for refusing to obey the stewardess and then the Captain's instructions to cease a phone call. His stupidity caused him to miss a day's training. There was also a story that he said he didn't want to sign for Porto but was ordered to by his agent/father who allegedly stood to gain financially by a substantial amount. Porto quickly realised they had a player who didn't want to play for them, and somehow got all their money back within six months from guess who? Stoke City. Why did he agree to come? Father's influence again? Both those stories were there to be seen months before Stoke signed him. You would think internet searches would be part of the character reference enquiries before spending these amounts of money. Didn't Stoke wonder why they were were keen to get rid so soon and make some enquiries? Presumably not.

Imbula is one of the most frustrating players I've seen in a stoke shirt. In his first couple of games I genuinely thought we'd found the next Viera but what a waste of talent he's become.

Totally agree mate. Think it as the first 2-2 draw v Leicester (?) remember thinking all the right things - right place at the right time, great positional play, quick, neat short passes, classy long balls. He even got stuck in and had a bit of needle with one of their players. Then there was an away game where he scored a class goal similar to the first one in the video. And then he acquired 'issues'.

Waste of talent for what he's capable off. Oh, I get it! In some alternate reality, “spunk” means “talent”. I wish immigrants to England would at least be taught a basic vocabulary. Grow up, picking a fookin argument when there was fook all in thegifts post to argue with.
