Craig Bellamy saying
Recruitment very poor - expensive players little or no impact ( except for Allen and Fletcher) British manager probably will be appointed Peter looking for older experienced manager John a younger one Club now caught between flair and more direct play - clear approach very important now
Lost senior players in and around the changing room, established players like Walters, (Bardsley ,Whelan)
Fair analysis imo

To be fair to them there ain’t a lot more to be said. In the end this is all going to boil down to who is available / willing to come and we are screwed because of the time factor. It’s not a pretty picture.

Peter has to get over this British and old shit. Rafa is totally fecked off at Newcastle and therefore available. We have the best chairman on the planet(not when it comes to picking managers) and Newcastle have the worst, Raffa is world class - so for the love of god what are we waiting for. We paid 18 million for Wilmer surely can't be a money thing

Would love to see that replace the shit we have now.

Peter wants older manager John wants younger man If true, it could explain a lot. Peter sticking to the older/experience qualities throughout December, even allowing players to be bought early January with Hughes's input/ approval. Once Hughes had survived that far, you might think he was in for the rest of the season. But all that time, he may have had John burning his ear saying words to the effect to get rid and get a younger man in before the transfer window. But seniority / paternal feelings or whatever ruled the roost. Then after a string of bad results, the Coventry debacle and John blows his top. Daddy succumbs to parental guilt and decides to get rid. How else did we get from not knowing what all the fuss is about to "You're fired!" in such a short time? Just speculation of course.
