I enjoyed the dismantling of Liverpool. Absolutely loved December 2015 and Stokelona. But, seems all good things must end. So a big Bob Hope "Thanks for the Memory" to you sir.

Thanks for making us the 9th best team in the country 3 seasons running and showing that staying up in the Premier League can be achieved without playing the least entertaining football possible.plus leaving us in the shit thanks again Amended for you buddy Amended to make me sound like a absolute tosser with a short memory. Yeah, erm, thanks for that.

Thanks for 3 seasons finishing 9th playing mostly decent football. Thank you for Bojan and the 5-1 Gerrard farewell. You were a Van Ginkel off the post from a Wembley final. Unfortunately you made too many dud signings and ripped the steel out of the team. Then you decided a back 3 and wingbacks were the way forward without a squad that was capable of this system. 2017 was a total nightmare. Time for a change, thank you for the hard work and enjoy your severance package.

All the very best of luck Sparky! Thanks for some fantastic memories and players that I could only dream of in a Stoke shirt. Sorry it didn't work out.

Doesn’t look like it does it because the defence are a shambles Didn't Wilson (admittedly one of the poorest defenders to represent us - aside from Wimmer) say that we never practiced defending at all in training when he left? He said it before he left and got fired as a result. That should have been given a medal for his balls.

Amended to make me sound like a absolute tosser with a short memory. Yeah, erm, thanks for that. Never would I set out to make anyone to be a tosser mate but present form is as relevant as when Hughes had us playing great football I thought he should have gone after the Spurs game, but if somebody asks the question ‘Parting words for Hughes anyone?’ , then I’m going to answer it as I think it should be answered, with gratitude for the entertainment I had when he was here, which beat anything I’ve seen in my 20 odd years of regularly watching the club. The same with Pulis, if somebody asks the question ‘Any message you would to pass on to Pulis’ I’d say something along the lines of thanks for the Premier League, FA cup final and Europa League memories and much more. Now if someone asked me do I want either of them back right now, I’d say no as quick as a flash. Both had big enough flaws that eventually could not be compensated enough for by their strengths. But I’m going to leave the digging over those flaws until they’re blue in the face to others (at least in threads with a title such as this one). I’m more concerned now with whether those in power still at the club have been weighing up their options over the last 2 months and have somebody in mind who has least indicated an interest in the role or whether they just didn’t see the need to act until now.

But for the width of a post in Liverpool, thanks for the many memories Mark.
Incompetency from the players, manager, scouting staff and ownership this past 2 years make you think of what could have been.
It's all a bit of a shame really.

Three consecutive 9th place finishes.
The width of the post away from a cup final.
Bojan, Shaqiri, Arnie & Muniesa.
Numerous wins against the top 6, finally beating Man Utd, THAT Man City game and a whole host of other great performances.
For all that I thank you.
If only you could’ve replaced N’Zonzi, found a striker who could regularly score & not been so persistent with three at the back despite having no wing backs. We may, may just have been talking about true greatness.
Thanks for all your efforts, it’s gone on for a lot longer than it should, but that’s down to the board and not you.
All the best Sparky, it’s been a pleasure. (Except the last 18 months)

His Stoke City story was a game of two halves. Sure, the second half was a turgid, disorganized mess and will be remembered for the far too regular drubbings at hands of the big boys. With that said, let's not rewrite history and forget that the first half was a breath of fresh air and we were treated to some of the best football we've seen from Stoke in living memory. The 6-1 annihilation of the scousers to ruin Gerrard's farewell party. Taking Arsenal apart and going into half time with a 3-0 (should have been 4-0) lead. Somewhat fortunately beating Manchester City at the Etihad with that unforgettable Diouf goal, and then absolutely outclassing them at our place with the "BMX' frontline at it's absolute peak. Several wins over Chelsea, including that sensational last-minute winner from Assaidi. Beating Spurs at White Hart Lane courtesy of a magical goal from the little Catalan genius, and getting our first Premie League win against the shit. I wish it could have ended differently, but sincere thanks for some outstanding and cherished memories, Mr. Hughes.
