He's definitely pointing fingers at Scholes, Cartwright and Cruickshank. Fine, let's assume they foisted players onto him. Why didn't he resign and blow it wide open? No sympathy Mark. You are as guilty and responsible as the rest. I hope they all go and go tonight. Just said the same myself if the board are pulling the strings and he wasn't confident with the signings why not mutually leave with your reputation in tact. He built his name back up in his first 3 seasons after qpr but now we're going the same way

Think it was pretty clear he wasn't on about injuries. He actually said they "don't warrant a place" but he was having to pick them because we were so short Yep, seen his other comment. Amazing interview from a man CLEARLY under immense pressure. Whatever you think of him, he's been treated appallingly by Coates and his chronies. Totally hung out to dry by a bunch of gutless cowards. Just sack him ffs. Agreed, Cateracts Coates should do the decent thing by Hughes and pay him off, it's not fair on Hughes at this stage

You may well be right.. It was just the interview smacked of a bloke knowing he is a gonner and has decided to take a departing swipe at others.... Correct - he's gone It was pretty much comments that are as good as asking Coates to sack him tonight.

As hopeless a manager as he is, the real blame lies above him. No-one should doubt that he's already been sacked. Why it hasn't been announced yet is a mystery for which there could be several explanations, not all of which have to do with brining on his successor. With millions and millions of pounds in play here, this is not simple stuff. His era is over, but there's a lot of loose ends to tie up before he cleans out his office. The situation we're in is absolutely a team effort. No one single person is to blame but LMH is certainly a key figure (whatever your view on him) and he has made his position untenable. Whatever loyalty has been shown to him was unwarranted imho, although I do have some sympathy because the mess is not solely of his making yet will ultimately be the fall guy.

Why's he still here though mate? He isn't! He's been sacked! Sentinel Stoke’s hierarchy will now move quickly after already deciding Hughes had to go in the wake of last Monday's defeat at home to Newcastle. Just gonna go buy my mate a beer. He was right!

Allen's interview was interesting in that Mark is telling the payers what to do but are not doing it!
What player are out injured that would have come in to do a better job? Indi and Shawcross. Who else???

Pressure's got to him now. He knows he's in the media spotlight tonight and trying to save face. It's not nice though is it, last week he's a great bunch of players and everyone knew what they'd to do to improve things, now, it's all the players fault. Any leader coming out with that shit is on borrowed time Memo to troops - don't have this manager alongside you when you go over the top.

"There were players out there today, who shouldn't have been playing." WTF? What a bizarre thing to say. Translation? For me it means „I have been left in this position by certain individuals who have refused to support my position by controlling who does and does not come to the club, despite pointing out what is needed“. Hughes should go but this is going to turn nasty.... and rightly so. Some people at the club are going to be exposed for the charlatans they truly are.

What kind of comment is that? What kind of management and motivation of players you might need in the near future is that? He literally is begging for the sack and to be honest, is leaving a complete shit show in his trail. We are completely and utterly fcuked. Coates and Co. you are a disgrace for letting it get to this. Im quite upset right now, feel a bit stunned. Relegation is really sinking in. I feel that we are hopeless and its so, so heartbreaking I look further than relegation. Our board have completely failed to see or act on what has been obvious to the fans for at least 18 moths. What kind of future can we have with blind people who REFUSE to see the problems or act upon them in charge at the club. It's never nice sacking someone, I know I've had to do it in the past. But that goes with the territory when you are in charge and what's more it is your responsibility to the owners and the other workers to remove bad people. The first thing I used to say to them was. Why shouldn't I sack you? Tell me why I should excuse your poor performance. Most had no reason some just didn't care.

How did we go from being a well run club who were often cited as the model club in terms of surviving and consolidating after promotion to this utter shit show ?

He said we're playing players who don't warrant a place and when we have to do that he's alarmed at how much worse we become.
Soooooooo Mark....if they don't warrant a place and you already know how much worse we are with them on the pitch, what was the logic behind playing those players anyway, and leaving players like Choupo Moting and Shaqiri on the bench?

There’s a story to be told about our recruitment policy in the past couple of years I’m sure - it seems a logical conclusion that MH kept his job last summer because he was prepared to tow the line and operate within the restrictions placed on him. However that in no way excuses a coaching team unable to stem the flow of goals even against a 4th division side. It’s an almighty mess of the club’s own making and it isn’t going to be turned around quickly - whoever is brought in.

I think that he's indirectly saying that the players that are on the pitch are not his signings. I think that he is saying that it should concentrate other minds on what he has been telling them, i.e. that what he is working with isn't good enough & that the evidence is out there on the pitch. Plus the medical staff are not up to it, given the number of injuries. In other words, those that are responsible are not doing a professional enough job. That's my interpretation of what he is saying, reading between the lines. They are tying his hands & he's the one who is taking the flack. As someone said on radio Stoke, change the manager & the problem is still there for a new manager to cope with.

Like sell on clauses, that'll probably be an option that our board never even knew you could include in contracts Paul

It is on his reputation now whether he likes it or not, he has messed up with major signings and the squad has regressed in the last few years. I don't see him getting another premier league job any time soon, he'd be better off taking the Wales job again.
