'Marie's the name of his latest flame'. Yeah some similarities, they move in the same medium. Elvis was the cover star on one of the Smiths 7"s wasn't he? 'Shoplifters'. Loads of rock a hula riffs in the Smiths work.
Mozzer was more shy and androgynous, hills are alive with celibate cries, a twist of Wilde etc.
Watched/listened to Mozz's flu'd up moaning paranoid xmas address on youtube. Bit of a let down.

Cheese Elvis was actually very shy Perhaps, always thought Elvis was a bit coy rather than self effacing. Both private blokes off stage no doubt, Elvis the hip swivelling sex symbol, one of the first mass media manipulators? {as much as manipulated?} different to that awkward shyness of the Mozz. Originally was going to say Mozz is more controversial, decided not to in the context of Elvis' gyrations, for the time.

Cheese Elvis was actually very shy Hey BJR here's the epitome of the contradiction of a shy front man. I agree Cheese, genuinely shy. Elvis's version of shyness is referred to at 7.15 and 13.0o onwards in this video of his New York concert. Not big headed.

Brilliant Have you seen the Talking Heads Southbank doc? Fantastic. Always time for a touch of Tina. Always liked the Talking Heads but my proper introduction started with Little Creatures then I worked back. Interestingly the lad and his mates are aware of them Psycho killer, Once in a lifetime, etc through gaming and Spotify and Youtube gets them all the access they want.
Don't know whether you can help but I caught 10 minutes or so of David Byrne on the tv some years back doing a live show with another male artist not Eno. By the time I'd remembered to look it up I'd forgotten the details. Any thoughts?

A pioneer, ever likely a bit nervous and unsure. He was/is brill. The king.

Talking Heads are up there amongst those bands I got into as a youth 'Once In a Lifetime' video on ToTP and I still enjoy to this day. The Southbank doc is a great intro, puts 'where they were coming from' into some context. {And Tina is mint in it, of course.} I'll have a search/think re Byrne. Was it his Cuban style Salsa thing? On that 'The Great Curve' track I posted Bowie's mate, and King Crimsoner Adrian Belew features {to great effect}, was it he?

I'll have a look later, I can't remember anything bar thinking it sounded good. Once in a lifetime was on Radio 2 a few days back and it still sounds as good as all those years back. Frustratingly for me I really liked it but had it tagged on the "novelty" shelf. Did the same with The Beat over Mirror in the bathroom. Learned that lesson the hard way
