Where do they get the figures from?
It's all about what I'd expect though tbh.

Surprised Jack's wedge is quite small Also Shaq is picking up less than Wimmer? no wonder he's throwing a strop recently!

Yeah that stood out (Butland) and that Grant's annual salary (if true of course) starts with the same number..... The Wimmer one makes sense. Massive fee and he signed his deal 2 years after Shaq. So that wouldn't surprise me. But I'd love to see the source for these figures.

I'd insist on being paid in Bitcoins, 365 shares, or deferred options on a sturgeon farm. Comedy money.

No wonder we never manage to attract decent players but just loanees, basement bargains and oldies on their last legs !!!
Arnie was 100% correct - there is no ambition in this club whatsoever

Although no doubt some on here will think we should pay less, 'in my day players got threpence and a meat pie each week and were happy', these short sighted people are part of the reason we have 0 ambition.

This is why football is going down the shit pan imo. Our least effective player earning by far the most money. Who writes these contracts ffs? Get a fucking performance clause written into them it ain’t rocket science.

I thought everyone was saying that Imbula was on 70k a week, looks like he's only on 50k a week. He must be struggling!

Berahino and Wimmer our highest paid players And people think that when Hughes goes the rank incompetency and outright idiocy will stop. We need a complete clear out of the smug and complacent people at all levels of the club. The club needs bleach and a wire brush taking to it.

What constitutes "performance" and any measurement of same is subjective and would doubtless lead to legal challenges

WTF Jakob Haugaard on £10,000 a week! He wasn't good enough for Wigan. He's not good enough for the Dog and Duck. It is time to give up.

What constitutes "performance" and any measurement of same is subjective and would doubtless lead to legal challenges I agree but if all PL clubs wrote similar contracts for all players that were black and white. So players sign for a basic wage, which will differ from club to club and players within the club. Then bonuses are paid for playing and bigger bonuses for drawing and winning games. All this can be written into contracts but ALL clubs would have to comply. I know it will never happen that’s why Football is generally fucked as players and their agents leech money from the game quicker than a bookie taking your bets.

Berahino on 80k a week and apparently we have no system to suit him. Absolutely scandalous stuff.

It's almost impossible to know where to start with that lot. Simplistically you are looking at 30 recalcitrant 18 to 32 year old men on vast salaries with no suggestion of any meritocracy behind it. All I can think is that it can't be easy to knock that lot in to a cohesive unit

Would have thought that Crouch we be slightly better paid especially in comparison with Berahinos wage

Can you imagine what he is thinking pocketing his 35k a week watching the shower of shit unfolding in front of him trying to protect his goal. Players on twice the money he is constantly giving the ball away and putting his area under pressure. I think its fair to say he will be in for a very hefty pay rise on his next move.

and those will be basic wages, everyone will almost certainly have appearance money, goal bonuses etc, on top of that. Maybe even a bonus based on where they finish in the league.

Makes u wonder if Berahino's wage pisses the other players off to such an extent that they don't want to play with him, or accommodate him in any way, including at training.

total published salaries for 16-17 was £76.9m so there must be a fair few other high earners , obviously all the non first team players coaches and then backroom staff need to be factored in .
If that is true how the fuck can wimmer be on so much more than Ryan who had just signed a new deal
