Seems like the shirt sponsorship runs to the end of next season (summer 2019) and the stadium naming rights for 3 years after that (summer 2022) Bet365 sponsorshipIn the event the unthinkable happens in May I don't think its realistic to think they will renew the shirt deal. These giant on-line gambling corporations live and die on the global brand and Bet365 have offices from Gibraltar to the Northern Territories of Australia. In terms of exposure the Championship just isn't going to cut it. I reckon that ones a gonna if we're a gonna. I'm not so sure about the stadium naming. They are stuck with it to 2022 and I suppose the stadium name is less visible than the shirts in terms of brand awareness. I can't think of a sport other than football that would give them the global reach they need so we may ultimately have the odd situation of Bet365 sponsoring another Premier League club which is not Stoke City. That would feel strange indeed!

I reckon if we drop the conflict of interest goes and Bet365 would sponsor the whole of the Prem.. not just the one team.

I think it's just utilised as a way to put money into the club.

They are not the only betting company trying to get a piece of the global football action, probably before the whole thing goes the way of cigarette advertising and gets legislated against in the house.

Maybe the Prem will continue to limit itself to chocolate, booze and bankers for 'branding'. Dunno.

They are on every sky sports block of adverts that I've seen, you can't go on the internet without seeing them. We have a very little dent in their marketing strategy imho

Who actually thinks Bet365 sponsor us for brand exposure, i don't. in fact i think Stoke City F.C. is the one who is benefiting from brand exposure in all those Bet365 adverts. i'm sure there are other financial benefits to Bet365 sponsoring us, which would remain the case if we were in the championship.

I do, they are not Stoke City and they are not a charity. All the big on-line gambling concerns have sponsorship links with football. There is a marriage of convenience about the existing arrangement but if we are not in the top flight I very much doubt they would wish to continue it beyond the existing contracts.

BET365 sponsoring us is a good way to inject cash into the club without breaching FFP. Didn't Man City's owners do this by sponsoring the stadium and surrounding estate for a phenomenal amount?

They are Stoke City, that's the way they have structured it and for a reason. The moment the Bet365 brand start to become affected by the current managerial farce, Denise will act and we will be looking for a new manager.

Stoke City F.C. are the beneficiaries not Bet365. even the tv and radio stations still call it the Britannia.

I reckon if we drop the conflict of interest goes and Bet365 would sponsor the whole of the Prem.. not just the one team. And I think we've served our purpose these last 10 years in getting them to a position where they can Lobby the EPL and the teams more effectively. The cynic in me wonders now we have done that, they want us out of the league.
