Just checked Paddy Power's odds again and Danny Higginbotham is the new favourite at 15/8. Weird name to stick in there, even with the Stoke connection. Have they paid out on him yet?

They must have got their list off here. We ought to try and get some random manager onto the list to prove what a load of bollocks it is. Although sergei shtaniuk as manager would be ace in a dream world.

This is the same Danny Higginbotham that we have to suffer as a commentator on NBC. When he isn’t banging on about how he played for the Shit (he actually made four appearances) he’s running Stoke down. The man is a total turd.

I see they have Rory at 50/1.
I dont know anything about his managing qualifications, but he would get united supporters behind him if appointed.

It's fantasyland, isn't it? Very strange. And Mancini 6/1 is barmy too. Who's pricing it up? They must see something in us. As someone said on another thread, the job security is something they will be drawn to. The board not being brash and sacking everyone might attract them. Mancini again. Leave Russian money and Champions League for Stoke? Dyche already has the backing of a board that stood by him even as they got relegated. The only thing that maybe could drive him towards another job is if he realises that he's not going to be able to take his team any further than where they already are, which is upper midtable security. But nothing in his behaviour in their most recent match suggested that he was anything less than 100% committed to the cause.

That list is nothing more than a supporters wish list surely. Why would Sean Dyche come to Stoke from Burnley? I’ve seen him touted on several threads on here but it’s just wishful thinking that supporters have betted on. Look at others on the list lower down......Graham Potter, Rory Delap and others have all been mentioned.

Certainty not my choice at all and I'd hate him at our club, but with our board only wanting British who know the prem, step forward Tim "the gilet" Sherwood.
He did manage splurts after all!

Must be bullshit (mustn't it ?) but VERY worrying if any grain of truth in it. Don't think Coates would entertain the idea, would he? He'd put experience above all else? Trying to think of a potential No.2 he could bring with him to sweeten the deal and bring that experience, but can't really think of anyone? Can't see it in a million years.

I don't get all this betting stuff. Is someone at 4/1 because they may know something or optimistic people putting money on them? Betting is easy to understand for example if you put £10 on Stoke to win it means you have just lost £10. Odds are compiled so that whoever wins the bookie makes money. Odds go down the more money that is put on a particular choice, nothing to do with the bookies opinion. It is called balancing the books.
