Yes I'd take Martin o'neill with Roy Keane. I think we would at least see some organisation and a better drilled defence. Personally, I think we should be looking at Bilic or Jokanovic. But I don't think that will appeal to Coates Wouldn't want that obnoxious prick Roy Keane anywhere near my club. Don't sit on the fence H, say what you really mean!

Spinks was on TalkShite early this morning. His actual words were: "I've not been given an assurance by the powers that be that he will be in charge for the next game" Judging from his tone it sounds to me like Hughes is going. Fingers crossed ! Indeed.

So I wake up this morning to find that he's still there.
This is lunacy by the board. Im actually thinking they want us to go down and don't really give a shit even though it will ultimately affect the profits for BET365 which I presume is the bigger picture in this.
Fed up in all honesty. I don't want to hear "the next two games are crucial" and "we must stick together". The fans have done all they can yet nothing is being done on the pitch and in the background.
This is a complete farce and shows the board up for what they are, totally out of their depth in the modern game.
Id imagine some might not share my views but in all honesty, the way in which the club is run has been found out. No manager should have remained with the utterly atrocious record Hughes possesses yet the Chairman relies on some sort of blind faith when you look at the past results, Im failing too see where in the hell Coates and his siblings believe that a man who has managed the club on a nosedive for the past 18 months can rectify all the problems within a matter of weeks/month.
This is suicide by the board. There is no debate to be had, no split decision, nor time to delve over this. The axe must swing and there must be a plan in place to somehow save this season without their golden boy Hughes in charge threatening the club's Premier League status.

It usually takes a board meeting but since Coates is the owner and Scholes and Smith are paid directors they can't have that much influence. Personally Hughes his assistants and both Scholes and Smith should all be shown the door. Hopefully by the time MOTD is shown it will be announced. Another classic example where the thread title and what follows are completely unrelated. Shit bin.

The squad is an unbalanced mess which is almost completely devoid of pace and power which are pretty basic requirements for the Premier League.
The blame for this has to lie with Hughes and the rest of the transfer team and that's why I feel Hughes and the likes of Scholes and Cartwright needs to go.
Part of me suspects the board have given him more time than other managers have been afforded because they know they've missed out on a number of Hughes targets due to the club philosophy of being self-sufficient and doing things 'the right way' by not paying exorbitant agents fees etc. It's an admirable stance but one that clearly limits our ability to sign players.

Hasn't he gone yet ? Maybe (hopefully) sometime this morning to allow our crack PR Dept to issue a correctly worded notice. Or maybe he's bloody staying after all. The longer this goes on the nastier and more acrimonious it's going to become.

If any of the directors don’t reach out to the fans with some sort of message on this current spunky mess we find ourselves in, then that in its own right tells you just how much of an embarrassment we are. It’s far too quiet from the club. The least we deserve is some sort of communication as to what’s going on.

Meetings will be taking place today, reference how the club moves forward. The meeting will go like this 'Hi Mark' 'Oh Hi Mr Coates, how are you?' 'You're sacked' 'Oh okay, bye!' Go on then Dave, announcement today? If this is anything like your recent transfer window debacle then I expect you might not know anything BUT I am willing to give you a chance on this one because it's going to be Hughes Reckoning Day

Coates will say the next 2 games (FA Cup and PL) are bonus games for us.
And the next four after will be crucial.

Whoever it may be short to or long term it just needs a fresh pair of oeyes and voice.
Fergie used to get around it my changing a coach ever 3 years or so. Most managers stay loyal to their team which I can understand, but I think looking how Fergie did it, is the best way for long term manager.
