I get the feeling that Everton fans will get sick of Sam fairly quickly.

Would Allardyce have come here? Very doubtful after managing England he considered himself a top six manager. I know Everton are not quite that but certainly have the potential to be that with owners who seem to be willing to splash the cash. For that reason i think he would have turned us down.

I think the only reason he wouldn't of come is because the board are only interested in survival at the '365'. It's marketing vehicle & nothing more these days. It's probably time they moved over when the opportunity arises, sell up & do one if their hearts arnt in it

I think it was big job or nothing, he feels he’s got nothing else to prove.

I think money talks and a good transfer kitty with a 5 year deal with owners that don't sack on a whim might have been appealing. Still, we'll never know

I get the feeling that Everton fans will get sick of Sam fairly quickly. I reckon you're right. But they're a right tough crowd to please at Everton, they're the most fickle of football fans I've ever seen and can't wait to get on their teams back all the time.

Yes he would have with the right investment and contract. We wouldn’t be willing to match that ask!, Everton clearly did!, once Sam told them his demands and walked and they came crawling back!!

People praise Big Sam but don't actually study his record at Sunderland, where he went in October and only just missed relegation by one place. OK Everton are not a Sunderland basket case, but his record is very patchy.
