Are we really keeping Hughes through the January window? Madness.

This result will probably be Hughes' lifeline
I still believe that if Hughes stays we stand a very strong chance of being relegated this season

Never heard of him, but at £3m I'd be comfortable with it. That's about the price range that Hughes signings tend to do well at.
Would be a bit of a blow in that it could hamper Edwards development, but we need more than just one recognised right back at the club.

For some reason, Hughes is at his best in that price bracket!!!

Article mentions he can also play on the left Also sends out the message that we are looking to improve / update the squad early on in the window

He’s clearly being touted around the Prem by his agent like Wolly was.
Hard to know what to make of this. He’s in good form and he’s got pace and power. But this is the first run of decent form he’s been in for a fair few years.
He’d also be our third Porto flop on the books, which is a weird well to keep returning to.

To be fair I think we have done. Spurs was the final nail in that particular coffin.

Mark Hughes's feeder club like Pulis with Sunderland very strange

I would take Opare for that money without a doubt. Never achieved the level he should have done, but defensively sound and can play on both sides.

At Porto, BMI was a flop.
At Stoke, BMI isn't a flop.

If it means ripping up Johnson's contract then I'm fine with it. Saying that though, Edwards has the shirt to lose.

Also mentions that Johnson will be allowed to leave along with Charlie Adam, why the fuck did we extend Johnsons contract in the summer ???

He’s played 14 times this season and is in the form of his career. But it does seem a bit of an outlier given his last few years.

Happy we are looking at a right back. With Johnson hopefully going, Cameron needed elsewhere and Mame back to his rightful place, we need competition for young Tom. He has a decent pedigree and seems to have a bit of pace and power.
