It didn't happen whilst I was there, I left when the second went in but yes I would have agreed with it, I've been posting he needs to be sacked for over a year but that's not to say I'd have taken part in it. Its just not me. I applaud good play shout a bit if a particular incident gets me angry thats it no singing, no baiting Arnie or anyone else, no protests I go to watch football plain and simple. I don't quite understand you. if you are unhappy with Hughes and you'd chant Hughes out, why would you not give arnie dogs abuse after the little twat showed his unprofessional and out right disrespect to us? I wouldn't chant anything on the whole I find football supporters really juvenile I don't take part in their shit. What did he do that was unprofessional and outright disrespectful give you a bit back after you'd baited him all afternoon and he'd rammed it straight back down your throats. Don't get the idea that if people don't behave in that manner they're somehow frightened of expressing their opinion they're not. I'm happy to express my opinion to any audience that wants to hear it but I don't feel the need to force it down peoples throat. This is a platform for Stoke fans to exchange views and debate them I wouldn't approach you in the street and start telling you what I think and if you did it to me you would only do it the once. I'm not keen on people invading my privacy or my space.

Do you want Hughes to stay for the rest of the season. Do you want Hughes to stay for a few games more? Do you want Hughes sacked immediately? If so who would you like to succeed him? We can all be wise in hindsight rob, no doubt if the club appoints a new manager and it goes wrong you will telling us what the club should have done. No, I think he should probably go. I think so, yes. Roger Schmidt or Christophe Galtier Again Geoff, do you think there's ever a set of circumstances where a manager should be sacked? Because you never seem to advocate that under any circumstances? Fans wanted Pulis to be sacked mid season which I thought was highly risky, Coates kept him and we stayed up. Some fans said he would never get another PL job, I thought he would and he went on to save Palace and West Brom from relegation. Hodgson in my view was in many ways the victim of a less than great squad, for me though he had to go after the Iceland defeat, we now have a weaker manager in Southgate who I would be happy to see replaced. Mark Hughes has a first class PL record but certainly he is in deep trouble now, nevertheless I would give him a few more games to try and turn it around. Hope that clarifies my position on managers.

No trouble I can see the funny side, great avatar makes me want to smash the screen everytime I see it. I bet you're one of those that wouldn't say anything to someone's face in the ground should you disagree with them but you'd happily say it on a forum Ooooo now....I promise I haven’t read ahead but I can’t wait. Although I know the response that I think will follow....

Maybe theirs 2 sides to you?

You were banging the drum for Pulis well into the spring and his sacking Geoff, it wasn't mid-season at all. Us staying up that season wasn't an achievement. I'm a bit sketchy on when exactly you think a manager has earned the sack? You've been advocating 'a few more games' for Hughes for a while, how many more would it take?

Not at all its all very consistent I'm not quiet, shy or prone to involving myself in other peoples business I really don't like people very much full stop therefore the tribal behavior you are describing is completely alien to me. I just like football I watch Stoke because I was born there that's it I don't want to chant shit with you or anyone else I don't wear a Stoke top or pyjamas or curtains in my windows I don't buy merchandise or food or drink in fact I don't even go to the toilet, fair to say I'm not a typical football fan.

This power struggle at the club is fascinating.
Any anti-Pulis factions must be wetting themselves. If he returns they know their positions will be untenable and they will be gone pretty soon.
For them to be reacting in this manner is further evidence that serious thought is being given to bringing TP back.

Well we could do what Burnley did with Dyche, that is stick with Hughes even if we get relegated, it hasn't done Burnley much damage as it? There's twenty games left, and as far as we know there is no replacement lined up, my big worry would be who would the board get and how many games would be left by the time he's in place. Unless there's a really first class manager with a record in a top league available, and I was Coates, I would stay with Hughes. If though they have a candidate ready then I'd give Hughes the next 2 games, if he gets 3/4 points then stick, less then change.

I'm not sure whether it started to go tits up at the Baggies before the 'lively and inventive' Dave 'Dave' Kemp fucked off or after?
Either way, it seems without Kemp he struggles big time.
His next job will be his last unless he gets lucky, assistant wise.
Just hope to fuck it's not here.

If though they have a candidate ready then I'd give Hughes the next 2 games, if he gets 3/4 points then stick, less then change. Surely you can see the difference between Dyche and Hughes, Geoff? Dyche unexpectedly got them promoted, they spent pretty much nothing in their season up, nobody expected them to stay up, and they kept the money and built more solid foundations. They were still very much on an upward trajectory and he was building something. Stoke are on a downward trajectory and have been for a long time. A malaise has set in, there doesn't seem to be any 'project' or plan, it's not clear what kind of team this is. Results and performances have been way below what they were during Hughes' first two seasons and we look further and further away from being that team any time soon. How many 'really first class managers with a record in the top league' are itching to sign up for a relegation battle? We're not far off the Sunderland situation of just needing a short-lived new manager bounce to get us over the line.

Practicality and pragmatism will win out. If after the next three games we are in the bottom three the Coates will see their money going over the hill and will react.
They will want a manager who will keep the tv money for them.
Love him or hate him he keeps teams up and the owners money flowing in.
Anyone else would be a risk in their opinion.
Might not be long term but I can see it happening.
I heard an idiot say on Talksport today I’d rather we went into the Championship than Pulis return.’
Trust me the Coates finance director won’t see it that way.
