The "successful gambling company" bit seems a bit old to be fair. There was a time when bet365 promoted managers who could manage people, who had a spine, who didn't just say what would please those above them. Not sure if anyone who works there can verify, but that time seems to have died a few years ago. EDIT - be sure youre anonymous if you say anythinng because as I'm sure you know, saying anything bad about The Company or The Management on a public forum gets you a disciplinary or a sacking. Whatever they're doing its still very successful and Peter Coates has still got fuck all to do with running it. The exact same could have been said about us ~15 months ago.

Maybe after Hughes spunked £30 + million on two complete failures he doesn't trust him, alternatively maybe he believes with the money we have given to Mark and his team they should easily have enough talent to hand to beat the likes of Bournemouth at home. The likes of Bournemouth who's manager has been given far more to spend than that. You can't seem to grasp the fact that Stoke are very low spenders compared to our peers. Your constant bitching about the transfer record is a complete red herring. Most of the outlay has or could have been recouped in profits from sales £22.5M on Arnie very strong rumours that we refused an offer of double what we paid for Joe Allen all of which would lead to a very acceptable loss on player trading, you're fucking obsessed and your constant ranting about it detracts from what an actually shit job of managing the football team that Hughes is doing. So you are happy we have sold Arnie and replaced him with shit which has been funded by selling the crown jewels, so basically we have not gained fuck all, we have made £18 million on Arnie, spent £50 + million on Imbula, Berahino and Wimmer not to mention the other fuck up loan costs, how much do you thin we will recoup from selling the three amigos ?

So Hughes gets yet another game in charge. We beat the Baggies who, along with us are in free fall. Does Coates then think everything is ok?. All Stoke fans will be floating on puffy pink clouds, Terrorism and Racism will be eradicated and Hughes is another Pep just biding his time. Whichever way you cut it both these men are fucking this club up and we have become a media joke.

" A fool and his money are soon parted", Peter Coates is no fool! "There's no fool like an old fool" tbf he has backed Hughes problem is he has pissed most of it up the wall, his biggest mistake was not sacking the incompetent twat at the end of last season simple. A few on here, and you're one of them, are going way over the top in your criticism of Peter Coates, a man who first helped put Stoke in the PL and then helped keep them there. This is the first season in ten years where the threat of relegation is real, and the Chairman is being abused, it's shameful.

Didn’t Hughes say in a press conference a couple of games ago that there would be very little if any activity in the January window? That's why he has to go now, he'll get no backing in Jan even if he somehow miraculous steadies the ship by then. He'll get the square root of fuck all cash to spend. A new manager would get something, surely...

Its not a rational way of looking at it. If you took every transfer he's bought in and compared it against their value or sale price the whole thing would balance out to a very acceptable loss on player trading for a Premier League team. I see you are doing the same as some others who try to beat him with the transfer stick and choosing the values that suit you ie we sold Arnie for £20M and bought Wimmer for £18M this is simply not the case. If we sold Arnie for £20M we bought Wimmer for £15M if you want to use £18M then we sold Arnie for £25M choose whether you want to use the minimum value or the maximum but you can't expect to twist everything your own way and not get put straight. I'm no happier with the failures than you but believe me they happen at every club. Non of your bollocks is an excuse for Coates to starve the team of transfer funds and non of it is an excuse for Hughes shit squad building, selections or in game management. He's failing miserably just not on the issue you seem fixated on banging on about.

Which suggests he thinks it would be reasonable to take action after the transfer window, Is he for fucking real? There's no long-term strategy at the club anymore. We should already be planning our business for next summer whatever division we're in. We've probably not even bothered to plan for next month's. We're monitoring whose on offer and when it's 'right for the club' we'll be all over it like a tramp on chips. The actual phrase often peddled out says it all, the phrase should be "Right for the team"

Peter Coates, in his second spell, has done a great job.
However, if we are going to survive this season we have to beat West Brom. All my gut instincts of having watched football for 30 plus years tell me we have to get three points somehow.
Our survival hinges on this coming saturday.
Coates had a decision to make and he has bottled it by sticking with a manager who is clearly totally floundering. Hughes' head has completely gone. On the pitch we are witnessing a total shambles.
West Brom are turning the corner and will beat us on Saturday. I'd bet all my savings on it..
You've bottled it Coatesy.

How can you go from "I don't know what the fuss is all about?" to "I am concerned" in the space of one week. We're fucked. It's called watching what you're saying to the media. If he's sounding out potential managers (or if he isn't yet but knows there's a chance he may need to), do you think it'd look good if he said to the media last week "We're fucked and have no hope under Les" then this week say "Oh christ we're doomed as fuck and need a miracle"? It may be more accurate but all you're doing is saying to any future managerial candidate "Name your fucking price, we're desperate so you've got us over a barrel" Why the fuck anyone gives credence to what any sporting professional says to the press, or believes they deep down even actually mean it, god only knows. It's PR nothing more for christ's sake
