Welcome to 2017 where everyone is offended. I'm sure the lad didn't mean no harm.

Where is the insult?

Normallly, I would be the last person defending political correctness and such issues but this really is offensive and inappropriate. “Blackface” was ended with the civil rights movement in the 60’s and with good reason. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blackface

Anyone offended by this seriously needs to get a fucking grip. The website you posted is irrelevant, he's not a performer and he's not evoking any of the stereotypes mentioned on the site. It's fancy dress. Let that sink in. Fancy dress.

It's clearly not causing anyone any harm. I don't get why anyone would be offended by this even with the history as it's not tied to it except it's a white bloke pretending to be black.
If he was taking the piss out of that then fine but he isn't.

I grew up up with the golliwog on the marmalade jar and I vaguely remember the black and white minstrels. Today it's acceptable for black comedians (like Richard Pryor and Eddie Murphy) to poke fun at themselves. So we have come a long way, but not far enough for white people to get away with it.

Very similar to the darts fan who dressed up as Dianne Abbott.
It’s not a golliwog or a minstrel or a slave or an offensive black stereotype it’s fancy dresss.
You can’t dress up as Mr T any more.
There has to be a balance in life. All this PC, equality etc is going the wrong way now

There has to be a balance in life. All this PC, equality etc is going the wrong way now Yeah, all this 'equality'. Really fucks things up. Grrrrr. 'You can't dress up as Mr T any more' - bollocks. Of course you can, there's no law against it. You might get rounded on as being a bit of a prick, but there's nothing stopping you from doing it. What you mean is 'I can't dress up as Mr T in 2017 without the likely chance of someone having a go at me for it. It would have been considered universally funny 30 years ago! Or at least if someone did find it offensive they would have kept their mouth shut. What has the world come to, eh? Not letting me do whatever the fuck I want without potential repercussion'. Just out of interest, are any of you saying that this is nothing remotely offensive or ridiculously misguided, a poc? Or are you all white (and male, I presume)? People can be offended if they so wish; strangely, you don't get to choose or control other people's responses to things. And if you think those people's responses are 'what has ruined the world', you need to get a fucking grip.
