i mentioned rodgers 2 seasons ago.felt then that hughes had done a good job with top ten finishes.i always felt he would not take us any further, and so needed a upgrade like rodgers to take the next step,if the board had any ambition thats what they would of done.

If Rogers is your first choice Joe, then with respect, I don't know why we're having this conversation ... it would be a BONUS that he would be well equipped to get us back up if the worst happened. And we're talking British because Northcroft said that he was hearing thst it wouldn't be Pulis but that it 100% would be a British appointment. Hang on, so is Mark being sacked then?? The panel all thought that he should be and that he was most likely on the brink.

Has Gary Neville been mentioned anywhere? I think he will make someone a decent manager if he decides to go back into management. The Valencia job didnt go well for him but it was perhaps the wrong job at the wrong time.

I thought that for once the panel seemed pretty clued up on our predicament and how long the regression has been going on for. Does Northcroft (sp ?) know Hughes is going soon or is it just a case of when than if he gets the sack. It's interesting that he claims to have been told that our next manager will be British, although he could just as easily have read that on here.
Come on Coates stop bloody dithering and swing the axe today !!!!

Coming to a club like ours would clearly be a much better fit as the cultural adjustments would be effectively non-existent compared to his previous management job. I think the general consensus however is that it's a dumb suggestion.

Season tickets will be on sale before we know it ....it was that what put pay to Pulis and if he stays it will be that what puts pay to Hughes
The club arenβt stupid and these last 3 games the fans have left them in no uncertain terms about the way things are heading and the last two the vocal support for the team was immense until the inevitable happened
It canβt go on

Nigel Pearson? Fucking hell.. He was sacked by Leicester because of the behaviour of his son His management of the club was fine , borderline outstanding

Months ago I said Pearson and was laughed at , Its perfect in the the Eyes of the board , cheap , failed abysmally at Derby , no relocation costs ,will accept fuck all budget on sell tombuy basis as his alternative is Belgium , knows the club. wil, stay when we go down , the bulls eye prepare to fail appointment and will work with Scholes .

But, they mentioned we have good CBs with Ryan, Zouma, and Indi, but seemed unaware that due to injuries we have not played all three together hardly this season. I thought discussion was a bit stilted, as though they weren't interested, and quite happy to see Stoke out of the Prem. but not their darlings West Ham, Bournemouth, and Southampton.

Pearson took Chris Powell with him to Derby as his Number 2 and Idiakez as a coach also. If Pearson was to come in then Iβd suggest Megson would come in also as part of his coaching team.

Interesting from Northcroft "They liked Allardyce. They'll go British all day long and I'm told it won't be Pulis" Who told him that, the more i think about it there is really only one man for this job.He wears a cap. Andy? π¬π

Nigel Pearson would be far more likely.

Neville is clearly very tactically aware but also proof that being a tactician alone doesn't get you very far. Managing footballers at this level is clearly as much about motivation and handling big egos as it is knowing about formation and tactics. I suspect Neville failed at the softer skills.

Iβd actually like to see us go for the current Derby manager Gary Rowett, He ticks all the Coates boxes If Pearson is a seriously-considered option, Rowett has to be preferable...

Iβd actually like to see us go for the current Derby manager Gary Rowett, He ticks all the Coates boxes With us 4th from bottom in the Prem and Derby 4th from top in the Championship its far from guaranteed Rowett would jump at it. It would be a decision with the potential to spectacularly blow up in his face !!
