The decision to give MH another year last summer was a decision that will make or break stoke citys reign in the top league, most level headed fans knew the time was right for a change in the close season but the board of scfc knew better and took the cheap option against the background of fan apathy shown with the lap of dishonour
Unfortunately the time for change has been and gone, we decided to stick rather than twist and unfortunately the position that we find ourselves is our own doing, to change manager now would be sucide so we have to ride this storm and feel the wrath of what the board has dealt us, whoever comes in would need a good 60-80 mill to turn this team around and a good 6 to 8 weeks to spot our deficiencies and to sort what is wrong with this team, unfortunately we have what we have, no change at this point of the season will have any effect without silly money, money we do not spend.
On a personal note, if we went down the chances of bouncing back are next to zero, we would need close to 80 mill to form a team worthy of promotion, the easy answer would have been to throw that money at remaining in this division rather than trying to buy back our premier league status as staying in the league is a million times easier than gaining entry
Short sighted blinkered and silly tactics by the board have given us what we have now, MH is just a pawn in a bigger picture and although he carries a lot of the blame the majority lies with the Coates family.
We will suffer with relegation but we will suffer no where near as much pain as the bet 365 brand, gone is the free advertising, gone is the brand exposure, bet365 are now linked with doom and bad luck, not a medal to carry for the world wide betting community.
Sac times could be just around that corner

Did you not think about putting this in with one of the many other threads already in existence that are discussing Hughes?

The latter What’s the point in creating a new thread when the other ones are already in place to offer different perspectives. Otherwise we would be inundated with threads telling each side of the story and everyone below falling in line and agreeing.

Did you not think of putting something of interest in reply or even skipping the thread if it bores you so much, let me guess your one of the happy clappers that have buried their head in the sand whilst Rome burnt for the last 2 years As I say you reap what you sow

Sac times could be just around that corner Bet365 can just sponsor another team.

Other clubs in similar positions at this time of the season have changed managers and stayed up
