Yeah this site is littered with it all, been happening for a few days now. Admin need to have a word with Proboards to sort it out, it's getting unusable.

It's to reflect our buying policy. If you go on other pl boards you get redirected to Waitrose or in the case of Man City, Harrods.

Weird. I'm not having any problems and never have on this site.
Try the free extension Adblock Plus. It removes all advertising, trackers, malware and pop-ups. It might just solve your problem.

I’ve had it loads in the last couple of days and it became unusable. I’ve installed an Adblocker and that’s done the trick.

In Chrome you can set your preferences to "do not track" and turn off your location.

I turned my adblocker off as it was screwing the functionality of the site. Then my AV blocked a redirect to a malicious site so I put it back on. I'll live with the odd workings of the threads.

Proboards are aware of the situation and a number of other forums are reporting problems...
The advertisements on the forum are the primary cause of the redirects. Each advertisement you see on a forum is loaded within an iframe, meaning each ad is basically its own web page with its own Javascript running. Different regions (even those within the same country) are served different advertisements, meaning that some users may receive redirects while others will be able to browse the forum without issue.
We have a Report Ad link at the bottom of each forum that can be used to report any advertisements that do not abide by our policies. These include ads that: - annoy us (rapidly flashing, bouncing, etc) - automatically play audio - attempt to redirect you to another page - attempt to install software on your computer or device - promote adult content or services
Unfortunately the tool doesn't currently handle redirects since it can only report what's on the page you're currently viewing, and if you successfully load a page on the forum without being redirected that means that none of the ads currently on the page are responsible. We're currently working on refining the report tool to be able to capture these redirects so that we can block them within minutes of receiving a report. This is our top priority at the moment.
Contrary to their message, the forum has not been hacked. If a forum redirects or triggers a browser's warning screen it's always down to one of three things:
- A rogue ad - An image hosted externally on a site flagged as malicious by the browser - A script added by one of the forum's staff in the forum's templates, headers/footers, or within a plugin
