Scenario 1:
Hughes keeps his job, we struggle Saturday, go one down, fans turn (even more) continues take it out on the players (partially responsible) and the whole place is toxic with the players shit scared to make a mistake and we lose.
Scenario 2:
New manager, clean slate with the players. Optimism, atmosphere, patience. Time to address his squad and acquire some players in January. Surely a no brainer.

The question really should be are the Coates family in contact with some other decent managers who can step in immediately. If so, you're right it's a no brainer at this point. But worst case would be if Hughes leaves and this shit shower is inherited by that useless twat Mark Bowen.

We should have a draw, pick a seat number and who ever has that season ticket gets to play manager. Let's face it there is a 99% chance they won't do any worse

Crouch in temp charge with Charlie assisting.
That would be better for a game or two until we find our new manager.

Scenario 3: he throws off the shackles and sets the team up to go out and win the game. We go a goal up, confidence returns and we win comfortably.
he must realise that a dull draw isn't going to cut it with the supporters, players or board, time to go all in. But can he shake off his siege mentality and pull it off.

Coates won't trust him with a penny in January, and we need to spend as our squad looks slow, weak amd that has been highlighted numerous times of late. He's gone.

On the same day Shawcross is talking about pigs on his estate in Nantwich, people who can't afford a guinea pig are travelling to London, Burnley etc to watch dross. Maybe we should all keep pigs

Scenario 3: Hughes goes and Bowen takes over as caretaker - we dither over getting in a new manager (like Everton) and Bowen continues to stick with the same faces and systems that Sparky has done. By the time we hire a new manager a month later, January's transfer window is almost up, we are rock bottom of the league and the new manager is up shit creek without a paddle. It's an absolute mess. Coatesy, can you please give Sparky his cards NOW!!!!

More than likely Glyn Hodges would be caretaker for the weekend. Even if we sacked Hughes tomorrow I doubt whether we would have a new manager in place for the weekend.
