I'm pleased he looked and acted so miffed, at least it showed he cared. However still can't quite understand why Hughes made this substitution.

He was absolutely seething and rightly so.
That decision from Hughes was just wrong on so many levels it's untrue.

I'm really not convinced by this " at least it showed he cared " comment. I understand what you mean and applaud you positivity but Hughes keeps falling out with players and the last thing we need is a rift with Shaq developing.

Hughes running the clock down. He was happy with a goalless draw.

He wants to play and is our only decent chance of scoring a goal, Hughes was obviously very happy with a point and that slipped through his fingers
Shaqiri is and will always be the last player we should sub off unless he's injured, you don't win games if you don't play your best players
Crouchy did ok but he was blowing out his arse after 60, why the fuck would you not put Choupo on for him and stick to the same gameplan that worked for most of the game?

Because Hughes is a giant thunder cunt and can't see the obvious decisions.

Hughes running the clock down. He was happy with a goalless draw. With 6 or 7 minutes to go that's the impression I got as well. Shaq was visibly furious and muttered a few words to himself as he walked off. That's my abiding memory of the whole game.
