To be honest I'd rather create that hostile atmosphere than sit on my hands and not shout about anything all game. We do a similar thing when a certain Aaron Ramsey returns to the Brit and it creates a great atmosphere. I'm all for it.

Never happened down Stoke... I remember a frequent rendition of "Bring on the Dustbin" when an opposition player went down at the Vic.

Superb sir. I remember same. wasn't it sometimes "bring out the Bostic" - or have I made that up ? Some of our ahem "younger" posters won't know what Bostik is! Isn't it the coach company used during the 80s/90s on away days from The Vic?

Could anybody drink Tennents extra? My grandad used to work at Bass Worthington and we used to buy beer from the shop. I bought some home once. My god it was strong or another soft? Probably both

I watched that game last night and thought it was the best refereeing performance I’ve seen in a long time. The red card was absolutely right and there were numerous clever uses of advantage, two of which led to goals.
It would be good to hear a bit more positivity both from fans and the media when referees have good games, as well as the usual slatings when they have bad ones.
However, as to the original point of the thread, I believe it is the right or even duty of fans to have a warped view of refereeing decisions at the game and use them to create atmosphere. As long as they are able to be objective after and give referees credit where it’s due.

The Ramsey abuse started later on after the relentless abuse dished out to Ryan . Not really related to his injury for which he recieved the sympathy it deserved on the day .

Never happened down Stoke... It does and That,s my point, stupid uneducated numbnuts. If you are wanting to follow a sport where supporters are well informed, educated and have balanced views on everything they say and do then, I would suggest, football is maybe not for you - You may also struggle with planet earth.

Probably both Never liked it poor mans special brew Not even good enough for a song I thought Special Brew clone was Tennents Super. Extra was a regular strong lager. Whilst googling to find out the % for Extra I just found the story of how Tennents Super came about. To save money on shipping, Extra was shipped from Burton in concentrate to be diluted and canned in Scotland. There was a mix up and the concentrate version was served up at a blind taste test and you can guess the rest.
