Heading down on the train saturday morning, obviously lots to choose from down in the big smoke, we were thinking of heading to Covent Garden for a couple first, are we allowed in the Green Man outside Wembley prior to kick off and where is everyone else heading for a beer?

When not on Cup Final day, the Green man is an absolute shit hole. You don't notice it so much when you've got an FA Cup Semi Final to look forward to on a gloriously hot day but outside of that, it is one of the biggest dumps going.

Starting off in Baker-street for us see whats what then maybe onto the Green man. You can catch the overground line just up from Bakerstreet & there are a couple more pubs on the way to the stn. Lot less crowded than the tube 🚊 By the look of it best drink away from ground. The designated pub for away supporters is the Green Man, which is located on Dagmar Avenue on Wembley Hill. For many years this pub has been a popular venue for fans visiting Wembley Stadium and is around a 15-20 minute walk away. The pub also offers parking which is free for coaches, but minibuses cars are charged £20 and £15 respectively, these should be pre-booked. See the Green Man Hotel website for more details and location map. Although there are plenty of other pubs and bars around Wembley, most of these do not admit visiting supporters. Otherwise, it may be an idea to plan to drink in Central London before the game or at a pub located near to one of the tube stations such as Harrow-on-the-Hill, that are on the same tube line to Wembley. Near to the stadium is the London Designer Outlet which has a number of eating places such as TGI Fridays, Frankie & Benny’s and Nando’s, which also serve alcohol. Beer is also available to buy within Wembley Stadium itself.

Look out for Stoke staying in the hotel over the road from London Marylebone Station too , as used by Barça , Madrid & Munich ....& now The Potters too. Also by using Chiltern Railways plenty of Football specials that go just the one stop to Wembley Stadium Station only a 9 minute short trip. Oyster Cards valid for those that have them.

There's a fair few pubs in and around Greenford / Northolt / Perivale...then a lazy walk to the "ground" and catch any other boozers on the way. Anyone else planning a booze in this area?

Argyll Arms & The Dog & Duck...both in Soho 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺 Cheapskate! I was in them last year when I was over in London. Mrs.Tuum and a friend went to the theatre. Mr. T and his mate went on the piss round Soho. A good night was had by all. Argyll Arms was great. Lovely, friendly barmaid and cheap beer. Like all old London pubs plenty of interesting wall hangings.posters, pictures, flyers etc from 100-150 years ago. I am back in London for New Year. I am staying just down from Piccadilly for a few days so am planning to visit both of these pubs again.
