Saido needs playing in the youth team to see if he can find the net just once.
His all round game is pretty crap and he doesn’t even score goals. Why do people think he deserves a start as things stand? Diouf is on form and scoring

The signing of him completely baffles me. Baffles another 20,000 people as well owd, can't see where Hughes saw him fitting into his system at all, he's relatively slow, poor in the air, not strong enough to hold up the ball and is not good at finding scoring positions, apparently he makes good runs though £12 million

I don’t know why some fans are so obsessed with seeing Berahino on the pitch. The guy is a stain on our club. Zero work rate and zero quality when he does get the ball. Totally ineffective when he’s been on the pitch and frankly he’s taken the piss out of the club since being here.
We need to cut our losses and ship him out in January. Never want to see him on the pitch for us again.

What about Crouch, Diouf & Saido upfront? Not all games obviously. Why not? where would shaq play and in what formation?

I saw a Saido who was visibly delighted to be here, who said all the right things on his arrival and praised the fans. I saw a Saido who worked himself up to speed last season, chasing lost causes and struggling with a lack of supply and a lack of sharpness on his own front. I saw a Saido who worked extra hard to shed even more weight and get into excellent physical shape in the summer. I saw a Saido who, now with a pre season behind him and deemed fit, was used sparingly over the course of this campaign. When he has played, he's worked fucking hard on the pitch making runs and trying to make things happen. He's not been a goalscorer whilst here, fine. But he's fucking tried. Passing him off as some lazy waster is absolute shite, some fans just paint a picture of whatever they fancy to justify their own viewpoint.

Saido looks committed to me but maybe in wrong, like always. How can you judge how committed he is he rarely get's on the pitch, Hughes sees him everyday in training obviously he deems he isn't right to start or even come on for more than 10 mins. a game occasionally, something doesn't feel right about this at all why chase him for eighteen months then not play him do you not think something is amiss ?

I don't think so. Also, there's no one else in our squad with the work rate of Joe Allen so don't use that as a stick to beat Saido with you have an agenda and that's fine 👍

Set up the winner against Arsenal, but isn't one to play a loan striker. Play him with Crouch and we'll see what he's made of. The rest is just opinion.

I guess saido is someone who divides opinion with people on this board, but interesting not with mark hughes ( his manager at stoke ) , Tony pulis ( his manager at wba) and uwe rossler ( his manager at Brentford ) . All three of them eventually arrived at the same conclusion ...they don't want him in the starting eleven.

I love the phrase ' struggling with a lack of supply ' ...is that what diouf was doing was doing when he barged the Swansea lad off the ball to set up our equaliser?

Perhaps you didn’t see the penalty miss or the several sitters he’s missed? He’s been completely anonymous when ‘leading the line’ when he’s been given starts. Can’t win a header to save his life, can’t hold the ball up and doesn’t work anywhere near as hard as Diouf. Everton away for example, he was completely isolated. Did he come short to get the ball? No. Did he run his backside off and harry their back 4? No. What did he do? Jog around and feel sorry for himself. 3 managers now have banished him from their starting 11, starting to see a recurring theme here?

Same with the movement and skill to set up the winner against Arsenal. I also said he's not suited to playing up top on his own. It's clearly a case of difference of opinion. I think if he grabs a goal more will follow

I wouldn't count it as an interest. As stated your post was full of assumptions. Most tentative at best. He was found guilty of two of the allegations and one was posted on the internet, these are not assumptions they are facts, it is also a fact that he has not scored in a competitive game since Hughes signed him these are facts, the assumptions are that he is still a good player that is not a fact.

This was a factor when he was at WBA. You can guess how his very poor timekeeping went down with Our Tone.

Diouf is ten times the player Sadio is. He works his nuts off, is quicker, better in the air, can take someone on, and is a better finisher.
Saido had a huge run of games without any goals or impact, that flattered his ability. Who else ever got a whole end of season and an entire preseason and start of a seals. dedicated to him scoring any kind of goal and in effect cost his team many points and got his manager into a ton of pressure?! Sully Oulare’s arse was more lethal.
Diouf and Crouchy should play at home vs everyone from 7th down and we should play fast and forwards whether on the ground or in the air, crosses nice and early and simply batter teams. The crowd would get up for it too!
We should play Diouf on his own vs top 6 at home and away as we don’t have enough ball for Crouchy to be effective and Diouf stretches teams so we can break better. Crouchy simply cant counterattack alone was he has no pace.

Play something tighter away from home / against the top teams that includes 3 in midfield and a lone forward with pace (not Crouch). The reason we are where we are is more to do with a) Persevering with the ill fitting wing backs system and b) Not having a strong enough set of options in the centre of midfield.

History would indicate differently. Many footballers, even some of the best, have done stupid things in their past but is it right to hold that against them for their entire career?.. Saido looks committed to me but maybe in wrong, like always. I dont think hes particularly committed. Hes sitting on a 5 year contract on something like 60k a week and he knows nobody in the top 2 divisions is going to buy a striker that hasnt scored for 2 years. It took him 6 months at Stoke to get himself fit. He hasnt said a bad word about Hughes but then hes not really in a position to, given the fact he has 1 assist and zero goals in his time here. In what way do you see that he is committed? The fact he turns up to training and sits on the bench?
