Based on the litany of poor performances and defensive ineptitude, we have nothing to lose if we dispense with Hughes. We are going nowhere, other than slowly, painfully heading towards the championship.

When you lose a few and then use statements such as
"We'll get a response next week"
Then scrap out a win, draw a couple, it's easy to fool people in to thinking things aren't so bad
Big picture stuff though...really is worrisome reading

It’s a startling statistic when highlighted. Would be a good one for our friends at Radio Stoke to throw into the mix next time Mr Coates is giving one of his ‘calm down that’s the way football goes’ type interviews!

He should have gone after the Palace away game last season. If he survives again it's an absolute joke.

Only a complete humiliation on Wednesday will put Hughes under real pressure. Can't see him going otherwise.

Only a complete humiliation on Wednesday will put Hughes under real pressure. Can't see him going otherwise. Sadly I agree, even a comfortable scouse Win will be brushed under the carpet along the lines of "yeah but this is liverpool" he really is starting to trot out some of the shit TP used to try.

You have only got to look at the way the team is set up, week in week out, and the hopelessness of his substitutions. Time to go. Surely Mr. Coates can see this, along with the three non playing, high cost wasters brought in. I include Wimmer, because, he looks a complete waste of money, even though I wanted him in this weekend. Him and Pieters are a disaster waiting to happen. He can take his back room staff with him as well.

To average one win in five simply isn't good enough! Big Sam is still available, but for how long!? Act now!!!!

Be a great appointment but at a guess Hughes and coaches out , followed by Sam and team in plus contractual payment to palace would not sit well with our do it on the cheap policy , it gets worse but a cheaper more appealing option wears a cap and the barriers to him are in our gift I fear by next weekend it'll be in the media as a possible .

I'm in a minority, but I actually prefer TP to LMS now! Enough is enough! I'd rather have Big Sam though!

Ironically Tony Pulis got sacked by Coates after winning 5 of his last 25 premier league games.Get it done Peter TP was fired immediately after losing 4-0 at home to Chelsea. That’s what I call decisive management. Right now Coates is fiddling while Stoke is burning.

If we ditch Hughes who do we give the reins to?
Would Fat Sam come to us with Everton still vacant?
Koeman - foreign - a deviation for PC
Pardew (ugh!) Destined to save West Brazil
It's slim pickings (and I don't mean the star of Blazing Saddles!) 🤕

On the positive side, from the same fixture set, we are 2 points better off having scored 6 more goals.

5 from 25 looks bad.
Wednesday likely could be 5 from 26, at which point we could be facing 5 from 27 if we don’t beat Swansea. Even 2 draws won’t really alter the picture.
LMH is on the edge, surely?
