Yeah but when it comes to a £47 shirt I'm not going to start threads over it. How do you know how much 47 quid is a stretch to him? You haven't got a clue. He made out like it wasn't an issue. And if £47 quid is a stretch for Christmas then I don't know how he pays for food on the table for his family.

Supply and demand
Season tickets will not go up in this area because most of us are pretty poor Like a good many on here i pay £649 for 19 games for me and my son which is worth it to me
I find it hard to justify to myself paying nearly £50 for a poor quality/value top
Just like i struggle to pay £2 for a bottle of water at the service stations
Stoke are good value only because the top teams charge kings ransoms
However merchandise is ridiculously expensive and if people keep paying it will remain so
It is all about choice

The Coates family got rich because they worked hard over a number of years, starting and running a business is hard work, putting your house on the line working 18 hours a day,so you can give others a job, then you get slagged off because you have come good. Its a big wide world out there will massive opportunities if people get off there backsides and are willing to sacrifice a lot for the future. When the pits shut I decided I was not going to work for anyone else bar myself.I loaned money against my house I missed out on my kids growing up.I employed people paid them a descent wage. Then one day I got told I should pay more because I was a rich bastard,I said I would pay more if you worked harder, they went on strike and bankrupted me,so when I hear people go on about rich people, without them the majority would have nothing.

However well off you are the cost of replica kits, especially for kids, is totally and utterly ridiculous. That they change each year makes the cost even more unacceptable.
Our club at least recognises the state of wages in the area and limits ticket price hikes and pays for away day travel. The ticket prices for the big London clubs are simply beyond the pale and prevent many life long supporters from even remotely considering supporting their team in person and gives a hollow ring to the tag of the "working man's game".

Yes fuck off Stoke ,why should I put my hand in my pocket to pay for all thes players, ground improvments, free transport,u7s free shirts, all the work in the community.Because your son wants one you tight arsed git. If you honestly believe that £47 represents good value then you deserve to be ripped off. Do you go for the worst mortgage deal or most expensive energy tariff too so you can help out the poor banks and energy companies? Stoke are profiteering and it stinks. The fact other clubs do it is irrelevant. I understand that you kid will be disappointed that he might not get what he wants for Christmas, but let’s not forget there are millions of kids in the world that won’t even get enough to eat at Christmas let alone something under the tree (if they had one, that is).

This is called planned obsolescence and is a standard marketing technique. Look at Apple. It’s how they became the biggest, most profitable company in the world. That’s how capitalism works. “If you don’t like the heat, get out of the kitchen”.

Cod, chips and mushy peas please, .. and a bottle of cooled Newcastle Brine if you've got one.

I like there description Show your love for the Potters of Stoke City, the second oldest professional soccer team in the world. Known for their red and white stripes, Stoke wore red and navy stripes on their first jersey in 1863. Though not a used as a main home color anymore, the club continues to use blue as an accent or for the change strip.

Talk him out of it. My grandson wants one. I'm going to have a serious word with him! It's not worth the excruciating pain!
