How times have changed. Managers/Head Coaches are becoming as much sought after as star players.
Everton are reported as offering a bid of £8.5 mil to take Silva away from Watford, and the offer has been refused.
Everton IMO have what they deserve having taken a successful Koleman away from Southampton and not sticking with him.
If I was a Watford fan I would be somewhat unhappy if another club came knocking on the door trying to take away my manager at any time, but espeacialy early/mid season.
There are all sought of rumours regarding Blunderland. Sitting at the bottom of the Championship. Who would want the job ? One theory is a partnership of McCoist and Peter Reed ! Not sure what the football would be like but they would have a few laughs. 😀
There are mixed feelings here about M Hughes, but I would hate for him to be poached away and leave us managerless at this time of year.
Those who constantly moan about him beware. If Everton continue to pursue and eventually succeed with Silva it is not inconceivable that Watford may be looking North towards us!! Ceartainly if Silva does go , the merry go round will start to revolve.

And why would Hughes want to go to Watford? A club who have a policy of sacking managers every year or 2 to "keep things fresh".. not really appealing to someone who's already in a job is it?

I'm surprised Unsworth is actually shorter priced than Silva and much shorter than any of the other contenders to get the job in some books.

According to big Sam all managers contracts are only worth one year regardless of how long they sign because “usually you only get one years pay off written into it. “

Mark Hughes being "Poached away" would probably be the best thing to happen to us this season. I wouldn't want him if we were in the championship.

I don,t think for one minute they would be remotely interested in Hughes he as not exactly set the world on fire these last 2 seasons. On the other hand i would be very surprised if he would be at all interested in a club that seems to think changing managers every season is the norm.

You've rapidly become the Oatcakes #1 ungenius. Even Benji is calm and lucid by comparison these days. That's some yardstick.

We are by no way above the "in the danger of being in the drop zone". To have our manager taken away from us and being "rudderless" for any part of the season would be catastrophic and the worst thing that could happen and condemn us to another 30 years of obscurity. The manegiral roundabout will revolve but some times it is well advised to hang on, and only get off when the time is wright.

No hands on the wheel mean havoc and disaster . Dont take my reply to seriously as I partly but not entirely know what you are saying.
