With all the wailing and gnashing of teeth of late, isn't it nice to note we are now one place above West Brom in the league this evening.
In these times of dread, it brings a wee smile to my face.

I'm more pleased that we're above the "bigger and more ambitious" West Ham.

Tone will be gutted. He plans his whole season with us in mind. Think the have some tough fixtures coming up as well at last.

Other than Everton's 1-1 draw, West Brom had the best game against Manchester City of any of the latter's opponents this year.

If we finish this season above W Brom and W Ham I will feel a little satisfaction and that we have at least achieved something.

I'm more pleased that we're above the "bigger and more ambitious" West Ham. Arnie had a ringside seat as well.

True and last year it was only us and Man Utd who stopped them scoring at home. But then again we've been shit for 2 years so that can't be right can it? The same game the finished glass back Shawcross had Aguero in his back pocket! H

If you think our fans are unhappy speak to a Baggie 😁.
They've got lots of empty seats for the visit of man city.
They did give them a bit of a game though.

Just watching game of the day. Do West brom think they're in the champions league with having massive blocks of empty seats behind the goal?

This won't go down well with some on here that use it as a stick and probably the same ones who wouldn't have been bothered about another loss today.

Toxic will be gone before November is out. Swathes of empty seats at the Hawthorns and some tough fixtures ahead. I think in this day and age, owners don't care about empty seats because most of the money comes from TV rather than tickets. In the worst case scenario, they'll give away tickets or even pay people to attend - not unheard of in China where the owner is from. Pulis is perfect for owners who view it purely as a business investment. If he is gone by the end of November as you predict, he won't be unemployed for more than a week.

You ought to read the west brom forum for their take on it.
City rested players, missed a hatful, gifted two goals and completed the most passes since 2003.
We got dicked in the same way 5 other clubs have.
If Coates wants TP back he won't be short of people wishing to drop him off. Tony spent £41m on that squad this summer alone, and has massively outspent us in the last few windows.
If I was a betting man I wouldn't like to think who'd go first.

Hard to sell swathes of empty seats and open fan discontent even if you don’t technically ‘need’ the paying punter though. Hardly attractive to sponsors is it?
