Glory be we closed a good team down and stopped them playing the way they intended. We had a game plan and it worked. With v few exceptions everyone on the park knew what they were trying to do - not least Sir Ryan, right back to his best just when we needed him most. Not to mention three cracking away points.
Objectively, not a genius SCFC performance but a really strong solid one and after the last two, that's massive. Sparky sorted pretty much everything we were close to despairing about last week so for me that's worth an easy
8
* if you we were at Vicarage Rd.

I really didn't expect us to win and I very impressed by the amount of control we had in the game. Really didn't give them a glimpse of goal. 9 from me.

7. When you need to grind out results it doesn't matter how ugly it is. Rode our luck after going in front but managed to keep our cool and wear Watford down.
Bringing on Edwards at 93 minutes though has a whiff of the Pulis about it.
Would like to see Hughes more animated. Even bothered would do.

I didn't see Edwards come on because he didn't. He was stripped and ready but not bought on.

Which is something I don't want us to stoop to.

7 from me, he set up the team to close them down and make them force the issue, this clearly confused Watford and they couldn't probe with us sitting back. We hit on the counter or set pieces and it worked. He also made time appropriate subs and showed the players still back him and he can turn bad, terrible and confusing runs around. Credit where it is due, he pulled them nice trousers up and got into the rot before it spread to the whole house. Hopefully he doesn't revert to old habits.

He was clearly shattered, they may have things worked out but he wasn't covering the ground as well later on, Hughes got it right for a change.

-1 for Charlie Adam? Jeez. Why the fuck would you ever bring Adam on when you're trying to hold onto a lead? I noticed Gomes was wandering way up field during the second half as they kept pressing forward, maybe Hughes thought is was worth a punt to put him with a chance of one of his long shots.

8 - clearly motivated the lads who gave an incredible performance. Should’ve brought on a bit more pace earlier to relieve the pressure. We got a bit of fortune today because of how poor Watford were at finishing.

Ramadan was done at least twice down Watford right wing and they put in dangerous crosses. He was looking jaded to me when he went off.

Result and effort way exceeded expectations. would have been a 10 if either Charlie or Saido could/should have scored.
Well deserved 9.
