Charlie needs game time to get fit so that when he does get a chance in the first team he isn't blowing out of his arse after 30 seconds. Just think he should be playing every game he can be to get match for for the reserves so he can make best use of himself. I also think he needs some sprint and conditioning work....the chance against Watford with even half a yard extra would've increased the odds of it gong in but he just doesn't seem to be able to move.

Love the guy but move on. A legend for some of his goals but i think his natural body shape is getting too hard to control. Down to the pub with him and kebab after. Undo that belt

Oh he's crap too don't get me wrong. But it has nowt to do with him. I know I just thought your original quote about Adam fitted Berahino even better! I don't think Berahino has even done the first though! 😂

Not sure what the Affellay love in is all about. His legs look gone since his return from the 2nd injury.. Adam offers way more and can still change a game with a pass etc, both however should be off come next summer when the midfield pool needs a massive overhaul We said that last year and the year before and ....

It would come with risks particularly considering how undercooked he'd be but the question is the very same as the Hughes one. Could it be any fucking worse? He's more mobile than Fletcher so I fail to see how he could possibly be any worse You've talked some rubbish on this board over the years but that takes the biscuit.

That's rich coming from the bullshit king. Fletcher has been crap and has looked like an old man on his last legs. Thankfully, he turned in an excellent performance at the weekend and rammed my words back down my throat because I'd have dropped him.

Adam said on Radio Stoke this morning the Senior Players got together and told each other some cold hard home truths. That seemed to have worked, but what about the management team who should have kicked them all up the arse for their poor performances this season at .......Newcastle, Bristol City (who are still flying) even West Brom, Man City and at home to Bournemouth. More than half their games

Charlie is a good lad who will only get bits and pieces from now on (missing an open net wont have helped his cause) so fair play if he wants move on.
Not sure why Fletcher is getting a bashing. Been good mostly since he came here and the comment vs Whelan is just churlish in the extreme. Anyone with eyes can see who is the better player. A couple of costly bloopers v Chelsea & B'mouth (although it went out for a throw so you cannot blame him for the wank defending that ensued) aside he has been as good a central midfielder as we have seen in a long time. Never hides.

Fletcher has been generally good, but he's not a long-term option and I'd be disappointed to see him starting every game next season if we buy a couple of new midfielders, what with Charlie and perhaps Afellay moving on.

Charlie has been a good player for us & scored some cracking goals in the process but realistically he is no longer at the level required of a premiership footballer and it would seemingly suit both parties for him to find a new club either in January or in the summer. All good things come to an end and he would leave with my thanks and best wishes for the future (similar in most respects to Whelan & Walters).

We now need more mobile midfielders. He has been one of my favourites, but I guess the time to move on has arrived.

Agreed mate but as it stands if we get injuries and suspensions in midfield he’ll be playing because we’re woefully short in that area I think to be honest rightly or wrongly he'd be behind Cameron and Afellay in the pecking order. He's always good for a short cameo (open goal against Watford aside) but he won't be happy with that and wants to play which is fair enough...... He is about the same pace as Affellay, will actually mix it with the opposition which Affelay ,won't will try and pass it forward which Affelay won't. My ball retention would be good if I was always passing sideways-just like Affelay. If one of them has to leave then to me it isn't Adam.

Don't get the shit Charlie gets to be honest, he has his obvious limits, but he's generally impressed for us and won us a lot of points over the years. Not least Pulis' final season, where his goals very much helped keep us up.
One of the best left feet I've seen from the edge of the box, never shirked responsibility, but we've moved on and fair play to him if he wants to play football.
Shouldn't be starting but hardly deserving of the hatred some have for him.

Unless we are signing some midfielders we should keep him till May.
That way he can stick the ball on Crouch's head for the winner in the Cup final 😂
