There were three Bournemouth fans in the row in front of us at yesterdays game. Easy to spot because they looked happy for the majority of the game bordering on positively smug. They weren't vocal or celebrating the goals. Well behaved and decent enough, two guys and a woman.
I was talking about this to another fan today and he said that he would have approached a steward to try to get them kicked out. I have the opposite view as long as they're not causing any mither. What's the view on here?

Anyway maybe they were just neutrals and appreciated the better endeavour on display from the cheating pricks...

Why would away fans be in the home end? They didn't take all their allocation in the away end - I'd say there were at least 500 empty seats so there would have been no problems in getting tickets at £30 each? Are you sure they were not Vale fans - that would account for them looking happy?

If they're not doing owt then leave them be.
We had two Liverpool fans sit by us once, it was the game we lost 5-3 was it? They were good as gold despite all manner of shit being thrown Liverpools way.

There are local fans of other clubs. Far easier to get tickets from stoke fans.

I kid you not I was told by a club secretary that they had fans that insisted on trying to get into the executive sections at away grounds because they didn't want to be in the company of their own away fans.

We happily sell hospitality tickets to away fans - many clubs do. So, if they had wanted tickets in the hospitality areas I'm sure there would have been some available - I doubt hospitality for a Bournemouth game sells like hot cakes.

In our promotion season, winter time i once kicked off on somebody thinking they were supporting the opposition due to lack of celebration when we equalised and other things didnt seem right, i was left red faced a week later when he sat in the same seat.

Why do you think that Vale fans would be interested in Stoke v Bournemouth, a game you would think we should be winning? I imagine most home games include some fans whose first love is Vale. I expect a few Vale fans have Stoke Season Tickets - gives them the chance to see live Premier League football when Vale are playing away. In my youth I often went to Vale games as my best mate at School was a Vale fan And a group of us went to Crewe games on Friday nights - a lot of Stokies did.

My one and only time in a home end was away at Man City when we won. Christ I can't tell you how tough it was keeping a straight face and quiet when Mame put it past Hart. I was sat on my hands and my arms were visibly shaking.
Never ever again.

I bought tickets in the home end at Crewe a few years ago and promised I'd sit tight if Stoke scored. I needn't have worried, when we did score the whole stand erupted in celebration.

If you keep yourself to yourself, I don't see the problem. Even if you chat about the game with someone next to you it'd probably go down better as long as you weren't being a dick. Look at the Rugby, makes for some great atmosphere. It's just a shame that the mentality in football, as well as some of the morons that follow it.

I've done it myself, so would be a bit rich to complain about anyone else doing the same, save to say you know the risks involved so don't behave like a cock and you should (hopefully) be OK. Given the choice I would always sit with fellow Stokies, not that this is always safer Guy who sits next to me sat in the Millwall end once when Stoke were there...even with his local accent (South London) he got 'sussed' yet lived to tell the tale

The Liverpool 6-1 we had a scouser and his teenage son in front of us
He let us know before the game they were Liverpool fans and they would be no mither they just wanted see Gerrard one last time
It was the kind of game in the end there wouldn't have been mither and most of the ground applauded when Gerrard scored anyway, they shook everyone's hand at the end and it was all fine
I think if you act like that there isn't a problem
You give it the big un and there will be a problem..

Ive taken a chelsea fan in the home end at stoke and the stoke away end at chelsea, we just want to see the game together, no bother.
Also as a stoke fan by your mates account of them looking smug so must be away fans, i cant say that i looked overly unhappy when for instance I saw accrington loose at home to newport, but does that mean i should be thrown out as I support neither.
Go to nfl games where all manner of fans sit together and no trouble happens

When Stoke scored none of them moved off their seats. Ive been in home sections before and you don't clap vigorously when Stoke score, if the home team score you at least stand up Sorry about my language felonious, but it did wind me up, as well as the players half arsed attitude in the first half and Lee Proberts wankiness, they were quite a few expletives about southern wankers and southern nancy boys coming out

I've been in the home end a few times watching Stoke-most memorably at Brighton in the season we got promoted under Lou.It was pissing down, the away section was open and I had tendonitis and could hardly walk.Me and a mate stood almost at the back of the main stand and had no meither what so ever-even with my broad northern (to them) accent.

Years ago Dave Kevan got me and a pal complimentary tickets for Cardiff Away. It was a midweek game, me and my pal got there quite early and realized we were in with the home fans, but we were in the players family area. We were in the bar before KO and 100's of Stoke Fans turned up outside accompanied by the Police, we were overlooking this, and this Cardiff fan stood next to me said " Them mad bastards are gonna get it after the game" referring to stoke fans....All I could say was Aye....Then quickly turned off my phone, Delilah ring tone, and ordered a pint using my finger to point at what I wanted. Even though we were in a fairly sane area it was horrendous, worst part was when we left the stands we were penned in whilst the Stokies were escorted out, and had to dodge a barrage of missiles heading our way....

Why would a steward kick somebody out after purchasing a ticket in the proper manner to see a football match. Does it matter where they come from, or who they support, as long as they are contributing to the club income?

Why automatically presume they're a fan of ether club?
Don't a lot of people constantly point out the fact that nowadays it's harder for "Real fans" to get a ticket because of the amount of "tourists" that go to matches who aren't fans of those playing but just want to see a Prem club? Are we now just making the presumption that that issue only effects the "Big boys" (so we can moan at them) and that once again we're special and different to every other club out there?
My Aunt and Uncle were in Stoke the other day for instance to visit relatives. They had their 2 grandsons with them, neither of whom support Stoke or Bournemouth but they went the game simply because they love football and it was a match being played in the city they happened to be in for the day. Happens all the time and as long as none of them cause an issue i really don't see the problem myself.

And just who actually thinks they have a right to judge then have a go at someone for how they celebrate a goal? What the fuck is that about? 😂😂 I went Burton a month or two ago and didn't celebrate the goal as I would normally and I think it was pretty obvious we were out of place but we had a great day just watching football for football.
