Watford have scored at least two goals in all but two of their games this season. We've conceded at least two in our last seven. I'm not quite sure where people are getting the idea that we have much of a chance of winning this game from?

I agree Dave, this is a really hard game for us at this time. It's not like going to one of the big 6 where anything you get is a bonus, but on current form you would fancy Watford. It really highlights the missed opportunity in the Bournemouth defeat.
But... just when you think all might be lost, can the steely determination of MH get something out of those players to get a result.
A point would stem the tide for sure. If we can stay in the game I fancy us to score.

Getting the defense is sorted out is job number one. Abandone this three at the back bullshit because we don’t have the wing-backs (emphasis on back) for it and it’s killing us. We end up reverting to four at the back anyway so why not start that way. We bring on Crouch and things improve, so start with him and take him off when he’s knackered, instead of waiting until we’re behind in an act of desperation.
Butland Edwards Zouma BMI Pieters Cameron Fletcher Diouf Shaqiri Choupo-Moting Crouch

I think so too. I want to see the bloke succeed, but our defending has been shit for over a year and I just can’t see him turning things around. Agree with you there big uns, we’ve taken some battering this last 20 months and if he was any good he’d have sorted it by now. All we hear is the same post match spiel, he was saved by other results last season but I’m fearful for this one. Yes this season it looks as though all three promoted teams could stay up. We are going to have a long hard season if he doesn’t sort things out.

Considering the players we have available at the back, zouma, shawx, bruno, wimmer, cameron, that really is a god awful stat. Shameful, there is a serious problem with the manager and coaching staff

Very interesting piece in them today follow the link , 2 year coach shelf life , transfer policy etc , interesting that we would traditionally be considered well run them a club in chaos , but their CEO seems pretty enlightened by comparison bbc.in/2z3Wwq3

I saw part of their game at the weekend at Chelsea and they play quick one and two touch football. They're a quick and athletic team, everything we're not. I'm normally positive looking but I really am fucking dreading this weekend.

It’s a must win for Hughes & Bowen, but not necessarily for our season. Sat - take the 2-0 defeat Mon - laters Hughes & Co Tues - start negotiating with Burnley for Dyche. .. onwards!!

We need to regain some shape and discipline.
Go to a back 4 with a bit extra in midfield
Butland Edwards Zouma Shawcross Pieters
Allen Fletcher Adam
Shaq. Diouf. Choupo
I would consider putting cameron at the back and move zouma to midfield

Stoke fans hoping we lose.... Great. I honestly believe what u say, sick to my stomach, not stoke fans.I even read that even if we win next two games, Hughes must go cos he doesn't like him. The spelling was of a 5 yo though.

Even if there were all fit at the same time, I am not sure Hughes and Bowen know what our first choice back three is. There are multiple combinations of any three out the five available: Zouma, BMI, Shawcross, Cameron, Wimmer That doesn’t even include Johnson or Pieters who could play there as well - just not very well.

I admire anyone who goes to watch us away at the moment. It's bad enough watching us at home! Oh! Before anyone says it, I know it's called supporting your team!

Quite frankly I'd rather watch us away instead of listening to the dxxks around me in block 31 who claim we should get pulis back, and we're the worst stoke tesm theyve seen!

Agreed, we have a far stronger squad once all are fit, but the "lets feck hughes off brigade" want blood despite the fact that our squad is stronger than previous years. Our biggest problem is our supporters who are becoming a" self fullfilling prophecy" that will drag us down.

Have always preferred watching Stoke away, and will be there Satdee with my usual blind optimism that we'll thrash 'em (?)
When will I ever learn eh?!?!?

Disagree, on Saturday we were embarrasing. Cheering a substitution was a joke. Weve become all the things weve criticised others for.
Entitled, springs to mind. Our first half was shocking so as suppprters we felt the best way to motivate was to boo!

Agreed. The same wankers who boo and moan would call the union in on monday if their boss had got stuck into them.
We have the right to boo, we pay their wages. Feck em they get paid loads etc.
The same people are generally the snowflakes that trump refers to. Quick to slag off but the first to moan.

I think it's a season changer of a game. A 4-0 defeat and it's time to go , no question.
He has to ask the players to give him their verdict, if they perform they want him to stay if not then they obviously don't.
A good result for us would be a 0-0 draw sad that it's come to that but at least it would show our defence were together which is the first step to playing well as a team. Scoring at the other end comes after that. You can't put the fairy on the top of the tree when the bloody ladders are wobbling all over the place.

Sad to say, but not that bothered. Hughes has ground me down. And ball, jordon, bates, kevan, kamara durban and pulis didnt? A manager who is trying to push it on and mix it up is grinding you down? I guess you're in the no plan b brigade?

Bit leftfield but I'd go with Zouma in CM to give us some power. For me
........................Jack........................ Geoff.........Ryan....Indi.............Eric ...............Zouma......Allen........,,,,,,, ......Shaq...........Jesé..........Choupa ..........................Diouf.....................
A side with more energy and power.
