2* he got a response for 20 mins 2nd half . What the preparation for the game and plan for the first half was will remain a total mystery .

0 - doesn't seem to be able to motivate the players, slow, ponderous, over the hill players, system that doesn't suit the personnel.....etc.etc.

0 for his pigheaded stubbornness. If we have a back three with no wingbacks next match I’m going to lose my shit.

2, his preferred formation/tactic is a shambles without the players that fit, changed it and improved (the reason for the 2), then fucked it again not long after.
Its time for him to leave but he wont.

0 from me as all the problems stem from his decisions, 5 defenders at home stinks! Oh and he changed it to get it right which was working then broke it! Kinell!!!

Why in God's name does he think Johnson is still a viable footballer.
And even worse he paid £12M for a player who destroyed our impetus when something in Hughes' brain led to him bringing him on as a sub. In the same move, he took off our only wing threat and moved our best goalscorer out to the flank. Unbelievable incompetence and it cost us any chance of an equaliser.
And finally, he perseveres with the stupid 5 at the back system even though we don't have players suited to it. More mind-blowing incompetence.

Picking players is always going to cause difference of opinions, I've seen it for 35 years.
The thing for me today though is that off the back of a pasting we didn't look up for it for minute one. Very very poor from the manager.

From the vantage point of today (cheers btw Albert x) what I don't get is how the **** we looked so good a few weeks ago - and we truly did for maybe three, four games.
Just rudderless, planless and gutless today. One side had a quality manager, we had Sparky Hughes on one of his bad runs. The gulf in quality and commitment speaks for itself.
I would still love Leslie to prove this can work, he's earned that right - but not for too much longer imho.
2* from me

I really don't know where to start. 1 for having the balls to drag Johnson off, although he was just the worse of a very bad bunch! But -1 for his bullshit after match nonsense. So 0 for me

*0 every season we have debated on here "does Hughes know his best starting 11" yet nothing seems to change except that now he doesn't seem to know what formation he wants to play.wtf? 5 at the back needs wing backs...if Pieters and Johnson are wing backs I'm the Queen of Sheba. wtf? I like Cameron in midfield, he gives us energy...5 minutes of this and he ends up at right back. wtf? Jese is having his best game in a Stoke shirt...and is head and shoulders better than anyone else (on our side) so he takes him off. wtf? So what I'm really asking...what the fuck is our manager doing? Give him 3 more games max and if he doesn't get his "shit together" then...down the road with him!

As I've stated before on other threads I never wanted you in the first place.
Yes we had 2 enjoyable seasons and i appreciated a refreshing change in style of play at the beginning , but as my Citeh mate said he is good for 2 seasons and then gets found out.
He's been here 2 seasons too long now. Time to go.

2 for the second half, where at least a bit of fight was shown.
First half 0. Made them look like world beaters, when in the second half, it was painfully clear just how shit they were.
We needed some tackles and probably a yellow card or two!
In fact, make that a 1. -1 for playing all our forwards at the end and no wingers/no service. So unbelievably daft.
God help us!

6*- picked a decent team, i'd have had Diouf for johnson and Saido up front but the team he selected should've won He then changed it at half time by pushing Cameron into midfield and we looked far better.
minus points for subbing off Jese and getting rid of our only creative spark, and more minus points for the first half performance from the players, surely an issue with motivation.
