Yet choupo, diouf and shawcross all should have scored in that very same first half. So you think we merited going in at half time in the lead?

Villa at home under TP was as bad. That cost TP his job. I can think of a worse performance though - Wolves in the Cup. Hughes should have been sacked after that. We have been woeful ever since. That and the 2-2 draw against Leicester when we were two up against 10 men, they should pulled the plug then. There’s no ready made assistant to step in on an even interim basis because Hughes has brought his own team with him, which is another part of the problem. So if does get the elbow, they’ll have to bring in someone from outside even on an interim basis to steady the ship and keep us up at all costs. It’s time to hit the reset button.

When you let the opposition get in on goal so easily, you don't really deserve anything. We did, however, miss 2 sitters and one very good chance so should have had 2 goals ourselves. I love Ryan but he has to be the world's worst in front of goal. The decision the throw him up front was arguably one of the stupidest Hughes has made during his time here

I cannot remember a worse first 30 mins at home in the Prem. We then missed too many half chances. A long season ahead which on the games this season we will be a relegation candidate. I can. We were 2-0 at home to Fulham after about 29 mins. Ironically against a Fulham team managed by Mark Hughes Yes it was on par with that Chris Biard double but for 30 mins i would still put yesterdays at the top. Over 90 mins the fulham one was worse.

We still could easily come off drawing at half time despite being that shit. How? We were 2 behind but, as ever, we never gave the keeper much to do.

See far worse than that first half but not in the Premier League.
If there was an obvious candidate to take over would be all for it.

Diouf one on one which Begovic saved, free header which Choupo (I think) didn't hit target, Johnson should have shot when free in the area. Equally we could have been 4 down

Birmingham at home. 1997.
Different level darkness that day.
