The problem is Mark Hughes knows his job is safe so not under the same pressure as other Managers of teams in or around the relegation area. We keep changing players and tactics every game and during games so players aren't sure what they are meant to be doing. I think that if things don't improve before the transfer window opens then we should part company with Mark Hughes or he will get us relegated

I have no idea what our plan was first half , also to concede again a second in a minute is just shocking . Our play was desperately slow and they were getting a lot more men forward.than us . Thought we started the second much better and with better quality would have got at least a point . Was impressed with Diouf and thought Jese had his best game for us . We needed to give him more of the ball .
Thought the Berahino sub fucked us up completely .
But still problem with full backs fitness energy and pace unresolved after almost 2 years and tonight it looks like it may cost us dear .

If it was Tony Pulis he would not be happy with this performance and would have the players in tomorrow to work on the basics of defensive play

I was at the match in South stand. Eriks penno shout was very close, he got ball first, players clattered into each other. Ref was too far away in my view but it’s the type of penno Liverpool won every week in the 90’s.
We were playing a long ball game that lacked inventiveness, but we were forced to do this after 2 goals down. Lots of effort from most players.
Understand people leaving early but disappointed they left on a scale that indicated we were 3-0 down. The game was still to play for but in my view supporters who only shout when we make a mistake are taking the piss. Get behind the team 100% for 90 mins and if they lose then you have a go at em!

The way we're playing, we'll get nothing! We are very, very poor. If we had got the penalty, no doubt we'd have missed it. I have no faith in the squad or manager anymore. He should go IMHO, and if not he should be threatened with win next week or you're off! I hope he's gone overnight!

Plenty of cameras on the A34 I think there's more cameras on that stretch of the a34 (Newcastle to Stafford) than anywhere else in the country. Plenty in Leicester too...as the summons I just received will testify

I don't know what will happen if we lose the next match, but I do know Hughes will still be manager.

We got too many basics woefully wrong today. For the first time since Alan Ball, RIP, I feel the manager should go in order to serve the best interests of the club. Also, Shawcross is past his best. Sadly. Don't think shawcross is the biggest issue with our current team, but more of a worry is that if as you say he is past his best our current manager has spent 18million on a replacement CB who looks nowhere near as good as shawcross peak or not, not only has he spent 18 million on wimmer he today plays a right footed jack of all trades defender who at best has been a squad player for much of his time at stoke on the left side of his 3cb's instead of his 18 million man. Worrying times

Makes you wonder how the hell we best Arsenal and got a point against the shit. That's exactly why I asked what has happened to us. We need to be beating teams around us. What I'm most disappointed with though is the lack of a bounce back against a struggling Bournemouth after the Man City game. Pissed off doesn't come close.

I watched the game again later in the evening yesterday as my bad stream really made it impossible to see much from the game before that. We really dominated the last hour of the game and we had clear cut chances with Diouf, Chapou, Shawcross and Allen that were bigger than the one Bmouth scored from. We also should have had two penalties with Jese being brought down in the second half and Bego's stamp/kick at Chapou in injury time. This is no excuse for our defending for the first 20 minutes of the game, but to show that it wasn't all gloom and doom. We really deserved something from this game, we really did!

Confidence, motivation, composure dogged defending, they shall not pass at any cost adventure, dare I say a little skill - have freadually disappeared - sometimes players need to have. A rest to reflect - Can Hughes have. A two week sabbatical to a defensive school of thought

But then Crouch came on, Cameron was switched again to right-back to allow Johnson to be humiliated, and we were reduced to lumping the ball forward to Crouch and the inept Shawcross. The way forward HAS to be playing three midfielders. We cannot expect to win Premiership matches with two in midfield.

There are two or three players letting us down big time. Not naming names, but it's fairly obvious to me!

Think we need to use Tymon at left wing back who will put in 100% effort and make Pieters work for his spot. Also push Cameron alongside Allen in midfield.
Butland
Shawcross BMI Zouma
Diouf Allen Cameron Tymon
Shaq Choupo Jese
