Belated birthday greetings to the genius that was John Lennon who would have been 77 yesterday.Besides producing some superb solo albums he was also my favourite member of the bestest(© John Rudge)band ever to grace this earth, imho of course.
.
Enjoy.

Jesus. Thought I'd give that 'Rain' a click as it's one I can't recall hearing before (Not exactly the worlds biggest Beatles fan) Somehow managed to make it 'till halfway before switching it off. What a horrible, whiney racket!

Reputedly a cunt of the first water. Imagine no possessions, in a solid gold house, really? However, twat or not, working class hero is telling it like is and is genius

Enjoy. Absolutely love lennon..harrison described him as 'acid. I guess that's what made him more appealing and he gave the beatles that edge that the other 3 lacked I guess. Legend.

My least favourite of the four both as a person and for his music. For numerous reasons I just couldn't like him.

My favourite was George Harrison, then Paul and Ringo about equal, with John Lennon a very distant fiurth.

I just don't get the hate! To me he's a fucking hero. A million percent admire his talent and his music. So what did the overrated scouse cunt do that warrants 'hero' status? I can't remember a single story about him running into a burning building to single handily rescue a nursery full of children from certain death. Perhaps he landed an airliner on a single engine after all the aircrew were taken ill? No, can't see that story anywhere either.

Most figures of interest are a box of confusion over what they said and then how they were as a person. That's why we like them. They still feel human to us because we all do it ourselfs and it's more real to us when the person in question has done great stuff in whatever they were doing. Lennon fits this to a tee.
Anyway, here's a McCartney song which if you heard the original, wouldn't have sounded as it does without Johns influence. As he said " possession isn't nine tenths of the law, it's nine tenths of the problem "

Lennon had the soul and the edge, McCartney had the tunes.
