Yesterday on radio 2 we had another "celeb" promoting something of theirs for the mugs to buy. Namely that unfunny tv woman Miranda Hart who's wrote a kids book which sounded as if it could be written better by the targeted audience. I'm sure thousands of folk could devise such books but no one would publish them as its only because of her name that she's got hers out. To join another pain in the arse David Wallyams.

As in the current Sarah Millican thread, it baffles me how these people originally manage to "get noticed" even with their obvious lack of talent, and then how the hell do they manage to keep getting tv shows etc. They must have bloody good agents or have some incriminating evidence on tv producers. Or it shows the paucity of current genuine female talent.
I thought Miranda "I'm so funny" Hart was from a family with "links" to the entertainment business. She's either very multitalented as she's now tried her hand at "comedy", acting, and now writing, or she's absolutely awful at everything and see's this asca safe/easy way to keep the cash rolling in.

Another 'talent' that springs to mind is Jane McDonald the failed singer who worked the cruise ships and made a bid for telly stardom. She cropped up on some travel channel extolling the virtues of sailing. Dire. It would have been helpful for all concerned if in the early days someone close to these individuals had stood up and said something along the lines of "you're crap" and saved us from the watching them flogging a dead horse. As Deeside said these agents must be very persuasive beings.
