sneaky long term planning of implementing confidence in a player by a someone with close links to another club. It's only a whisper in the ear away from tapping up via media channels "Hey Jack, great performance etc etc....while you're here, have you ever thought about playing at a bigger club to further your career? you might win more trophies, play in the champions league etc" or maybe i'm too much of a cynic ps - fuck arsenal

If Keown's agenda was to get Jack to sign for Arsenal, then the last thing he would do would be to try to get him promoted to first choice for England ahead of a move, as that would push up his transfer fee.

Radio 5 just wheeled Peter Shilton out with the same message.

You know you done fucked up when Martin Keown speaks more sense than you. I used to be a big fan of Hart 3-4 years ago. But it's clear as day his heads gone. I couldn't give a dusty fuck about England but I'm embarrassed that Hart still gets in front of Butland.

There's probably only Southgate who's in the Hart camp.
It's all a bit bizarre as he was always a massive Butland cheerleader when he was the U21 manager and most people seemed to think him getting the job was great news for Butland.
He had the perfect opportunity before the Malta game to make the definitive change and it's as clear as mud why he didn't make the obvious call.

To be fair, Joe Hart has got more commercial endorsement contracts than Jack.

To be fair, Joe Hart has got more commercial endorsement contracts than Jack. True, but he has long since stopped being "head and shoulders" above the competition for his place in the team.

Cant understand this in some respects everyone says he should be England number 1 commentators and people in the know what has Hart got on Southgate that he keeps playing him all the time. The other point is how do some sections of the media only value him at just over 13 million when Pickford went for 30 million

The statement he made before the last game went something like- Joe Hart has give me no reason to change it, on form he is my number one. This coming after the two long range free kicks v the jocks! Every chance Jack will be chucked in against the Krauts and Samba boys in November with the hapless clowns in front of him not doing him any favours.

Gareth has done a splendid job so far. Thrashing the mighty Slovenia last night will no doubt come in handy if we meet a top country in the knockout stage of the World Cup.
Go Gareth

Southgate is on 3 million a year and a 250k bonus for just qualifying for world cup. Easiest money in world football.

The future of England is looking bright with the youth teams doing so well.
I think Southgate should just say fuck it, and try a couple of the under-21's instead of the Jordan Hendersons of the world.

Joe Hart's after match interview last night looked like one of a man who's a complete bag of nerves. Also, he speaks as if he's a foreigner who's just learned to speak English.
