Hes a twat isnt he. Just as the opposition are on the verge of getting something out of the game, he strolls on a fuck it up for them. Brilliant

Nah! But some stoke fans think it's worth waxing lyrical about how many Gabbadini,Austin, Redmond, Lemina and Soares could have scored. Besides don't you know, for the last 2 years Crouch has been one of the main reasons some want Hughes to be axed? Pffft thread of his own?!?! Anyone would think he scored the winner the way you go on. Stick it to them Crouchie!!!!! YEEEHAH!

He did one thing for us today - he got the winner. Enough said.
He's a great character around the club, and he raises our profile off the pitch. Is he the answer to our striker conundrum? For me, he's not. But he has the quality of putting the shitters up the opposition's centre-halfs, and that's not a bad attribute to have when coming off the bench when we're chasing a game...

He’s no better or worse now than 5 years ago. Simply cannot understand those who want him gone. Will still score goals at 40.

Too immobile for me and thats why he doesn't start I think, does well off the bench when we're desperate so worth keeping around, Rondon would be a good signing or someone of his type as a starter.

With a hint of reality we should always take 5 strikers to a World Cup. One of those strikers should be a big guy you can lumps up front when you are chasing a game.
Carroll is perfect for it but he is only ever fit and in form for minutes a season.
Crouch would be a better option than an extra utility midfielder unlikely to be used, it would also benefit the dressing room
World cups are littered with teams who take an aging veteran who somehow manages to make a difference.
Won’t happen though
As an extra, for his great record he was criminally underused and cast aside by England.

He is invaluable to us on and off the pitch. You only have to speak to folk inside the club that tell you he is a fantastic bloke

For me, he's not. But he has the quality of putting the shitters up the opposition's centre-halfs, and that's not a bad attribute to have when coming off the bench when we're chasing a game... Immediately after the penalty appeal he is alive to the situation and gets himself in the best position for the chance to score. He puts it in the net, could easily have got the ball stuck under his feet, decides to flick the ball away from the defenders rather than try and blast it. At one point he tries to out sprint one of their defenders! If he can pass on that type of attitude to our up and coming forwards he will more than justify the transfer fee paid for both himself and Palacios - in fact he's already repaid that total imo

Ninety five thousand posts of dimwttingness. He saved Hughes bacon yesterday after the ludicrous decision to start with Berahino.

I've said that but he was a massive part of the reason why we were so poor. He changed nothing in the way we played. But he scored and I'll take that every day of the week.
