Good news.
You'd think he needs a loan though - as do Verlinden and Tymon.
Also, strangely described as a "winger" there.
Is he close to fitness again?

Fingers crossed that he and a couple of others will break our academy's 'duck' within the next two seasons and become regular and successful first team players.

Bizarre that the club announcement referred to him as a winger.
Still, fantastic news!

Bizarre that the club announcement referred to him as a winger. Still, fantastic news! Get used to it, he is best deployed on the wing as he is stronger at running at people then in behind.

In our 4-3-3, I could see his future in the Shaq/Choupo role, behind a main striker.

Is now the time to give him a chance up front? I actually think we've got nothing to lose! Give him a start and replace him with Crouchy at half time if it doesn't work! Needs to be given chances frequently in the games to come!

Needs to be given chances frequently in the games to come! Absolutely delighted that we have tied him down. If Monaco were sniffing around with their millions for him to be a direct replacement for Mbappe, there must be a fucking decent player there. Hope that Sparky will really start to integrate him (along with Verlinden, Tyrese Campbell (whats happening with him - he looked fantastic pre-season) and Tymon) this season. We cant keep falling back onto a 36 year old whose legs are shot only offers us one real option. I would look to give him a decent half-hour against Soton tomorrow, particularly if we are winning - who knows he might be able to hit them on the counter if they have to chase the game.

Just seen Bayern discussing this on twitter..... Given the long contract, they *seem* to rate him highly. So how exactly can't he be getting minutes, given the state of our other options up front? Choupo clearly isn't a striker. Neither is Jese. (watch one of them score a hat-trick today now! Out striking options are rarely going to be this poor, so if he can't even get on the bench, at 20, you wonder if he ever will?

He's a Belgium U21 international who doesn't play much on international duty and returns to Stoke to be in the first team/U23 team purgatory where he's kept around the first team like a waterboy without playing, yet that rules him out of U23 games. Such a mess. How can players develop in that environment?

On paper, this is a dream situation for him to be getting minutes You'd think a new striker will be arriving here in the next 6-12 months, and that player will be demanding minutes, as will Diouf once we sign a right wing-back. Who knows what will become of Berahino? And yet nothing is happening for N'Goy. He's not 17 - he's 20! He obviously mustn't be forcing Hughes' hand in training?

I've only seen a couple of short cameo appearances from him but I saw nothing to convince me Ngoy is the answer, whatever the question might be!

But neither is a bloke Hughes chased for years and then spent 12m on. He has fads and is happy to move on from one to fit the next in. The next being trying to prove to the world that he can get one of Jese or Choupo playing as a striker. He even moved a bloke who got 3 in 3 to carry it on. That's difficult to break into.

I watched all the pre season games, he looked better than the other attacking players to be honest. At our club it seems there are no plans for any particular player, no coherent system if development, ngoy really should be badgering to go out and get first team football, as should verlinden and souttar. Edwards should be in the team ahead of diouf, with diouf up front

So you have virtually nothing to base your opinion on then Well I think you can tell if someone is any good or not pretty quickly, but if you don't believe me take it from the management team instead who see him every day and choose not to play him despite us having so few viable options up front.

Seems awfully injury prone at such a young age, and I really wonder why he hasn't stood out more playing for the youngsters? I've seen that a lot of people think highly of him, but he really should be knocking at the door of our first team if was so special by now?

The whole Deploy Ngoy stuff from last season was a bit of fun in the hope that he'd break through but out in Switzerland...it was a case of "shit he's actually ready".

Feels like he might have abit of the ‘Daniel Sturridges’ about him in that regard
