According to website Sport Witness, he has been marked 5/10, 4/10 and then 3/10 in his last three games by French newspaper L’Equipe, and was also accused of “not pulling his weight” as Toulouse lost 2-0 at Marseille on Sunday. linkSorry admin could not find other thread

If he can't perform week in/week out in France, then where the hell is left for him? (and no...you can't say Vale!)

We will never shift him off the wage-bill.
We should have sold him for 5M this summer and washed our hands of him

He's only played one game right? according to the report 3+ As we have all said on other threads he is lazy and got the billy big bollocks attitude that he did not have to work again once he signed for us!! and the pathetic thing is that some on here still want him back and to be given another chance !! and old saying sums him up good riddance to bad rubbish!!

Everything that is wrong with modern football.

Too much money way too early in his life. It's a shame as there is (was) a hell of a footballer in there somewhere, but it seems that he has lost all motivation now that he is set for life.

As with Wimmer - coincidentally another £18M buy - you cannot judge a player and his value to the club after a couple of games.

Or a pretty scathing assessment by one of his ex-team mates- a bloke that I'd say is fairly well respected in the game. Or to a lesser extent, that pre-season video where he just saunters in without saying a word having not seen anyone for 2-3 months. Blokes a fucking waster.

The fact that he couldn't be bothered to learn to say "Good morning" to his fellow professionals according to Given, speaks volumes about the guys character. Surely before a club spends £miilions on a player they check references and carry out psychometric and Myers Briggs tests?

That pre season friendly against Porto really was a costly exercise I think its fairly safe to say none of this would have come about without the Porto friendly! An eye watering 5.5 year deal wasn't it signed in January 2016? This clown will still be wearing out the carpets at Clayton Woods and Stoke City will be parking wheel barrows full of bank notes at his door each week until June...2021 I haven't even subscribed to the idea that says Imbula is some great lost talent. I just think he's rubbish, he's one footed, can't tackle, can't head, doesn't read the game, lacks aggression, has no strength, I'm not sure how bad people want him to be. Heaven knows what went on with the scouting, I think someone just thought he's a tall, rangy Afro/French guy ergo he's the next Steven N'Zonzi

As with Wimmer - coincidentally another £18M buy - you cannot judge a player and his value to the club after a couple of games. The only coincidence is the price tag. Imbula was quite impressive to start with and scored a great goal. His lack of awareness around him and naive play was understandable and I like others thought "he will learn". What we didn't know is he can't be bothered with learning anything, or anybody, it would appear, or what people think about him. In fact he is clearly a waster. Wimmer has got off to a bad start and looks very slow and rusty and has us all worried. The fact though is, he was very respected at Spurs by a lot of people and Spurs only buy class players. I think we should give him time, like a lot were with Imbula, to get up to speed, and, as you correctly say, not rush to judgement. It would be tragic though if Stoke have picked another Wollschied.

A few things
Firstly, those ratings are notoriously brutal, a 5 is essentially a 6/7 in England.
Secondly, some of the comments on here are pathetic. You make it out like you want to harm him, to make him feel bad. He's a footballer, a human being fgs
And lastly something has clearly happened that has affected him.
Criticize him for his football performances, not anything else.

A crying shame really, if he'd got the right attitude he'd be a £50 million player.
I hate seeing obvious talent just piss their career away, he seems to be in the mould of Adel Taraabt, Mario Balotelli, Zakaria Bakkali etc.

I saw a bit of the game on Sunday and he looked average at best. Pedestrian, gave the ball away very easily and was taken off after they conceded a second goal. I’m sure there is a good player in there somewhere but he’s not showing it back in France so far.
