Can't wait for Sal to post this. Where do we start? *if you were there. *6 for me, no real options in defence and put out a team that should have been competitive and for the most of them they were, we played some good football and apart from too many individual cock ups I thought we played ok. That said why not give the youngsters a go they can't be any worse than Glen Johnson, its been obvious to many who watch the team that he's just past it, slow ponderous and doesn't look like he gives a fuck. Why have Souttar on the bench if there's absolutely no intention of using him? Surely for fucks sake he should have replaced Indi and what has Berahino got to do to at least get a chance off the bench it's not as if we're banging the goals in is it? At 0 - 2 down at least give the lad a chance Then I have to wonder what Hughes was thinking in midweek, knowing that 3 centre backs would be out he still risked Wimmer and Indi, this left us woefully short today. Why not start the youngsters in midweek alongside Zouma? Gouranga.

6.
Imo Tymon and Berahino should have started. Having said that we can't blame Hughes for player errors. That's what cost us today.
I will still never understand why we don't use the 3rd sub. Especially when chasing the bloody game

I'll go 5* limited options in defence but still no need for Johnson to play in the season where he says he is going to give youth a chance . Some good play and he rallied them at half-time but Jese should have been off then for me and his inability to find a striker after so long is becoming a problem. Not bringing souttar on when Bruno pulled up really pissed me off

4 - obviously had his hands tied with only one centre-half available and lack of midfield options, but bottled it by going for fucking johnson - who is beyond past it at this level and out of position to boot.

Cheers Albert was at mum and dad's after the game so only just online now. So how, how how the **** did we keep it so tight v Arse and Man U and get so massively overrun today? The crazy thing is, when we were good for spells today we really were good. I'd prob have picked the same starting XI and I've no real arguments with the way Sparky set the team up today. I think it's maybe down to two things - we had a honeymoon period of new signings really going for it and now we've lost that extra edge, and at the same time, it's looking like the improved defensive routines and ability to close a team down (tho anyone would have struggled with some of Chelski's play today, they were outstanding) wasn;t as solid as we hoped, so - yet again - there's still work to do on the training ground. When the routines are strong enough, player errors aren't so destructive. One more 5* here

I felt sorry for the players yesterday. I know individual mistakes cost us dear against a top side but Hughes had us playing in a straight-jacket.
He's got it into his thick head that we're playing 3 at the back no matter who's available.
And after wrecking the confidence of a long list of strikers by playing one isolated up top, he rubbed it in by not playing any up top yesterday.
Choupo-Moting is a left-winger. Jese looks like a second striker and Shaquiri wants to feed whoever plays in front of him. BTW, I thought Shaq was our outstanding bit of class.
That line-up yesterday was pure mis-management.

3, why play Ramadan at left wing back and still playing players that are out of form.

It hardly worked when he changed to 4 at the back with 2 up top for the 2nd half at Bristol I felt sorry for the players yesterday. 3 - Complaining that we had no fit CB's while Souttar is on the bench is a joke Keeps persisting with a team without a proper striker Fletcher at CB is a ridiculous decision He NEVER uses 3 subs

6* - we actually played pretty well but "shot ourselves in the foot" so many times, including the 2nd minute. Despite what some say on here, yesterday wasn't the day for the 'kiddies', it was the experienced pros who were needed to try and cove the missing defenders. But for the individual mistakes we might have been in it, and 4 really flattered Chelsea.
My gripes are:
1. Not using all 3 subs 2. Not using all 3 subs

7* We looked up for it and battled well with the Premier League champions. started with 1 centre half and finished with 0 due to injuries. He motivated the players (it seems) to work hard, and he can't help single players making the ridiculous mistakes they did. Loses 3 for selling Bardsley and keeping Johnson.
